I wanna hear more info really... but if it scores well enough, I'll buy it. I haven't bought an MP game since 5 on the GC... and would like to see how this one has changed with the Wii Remote.yoshi_64
Hey, it's yoshi 64! Do I just not notice you much anymore or are you online less nowadays?
[QUOTE="Ontain"]does every game these days need a hype thread?

lol yeah I didnt really understand that either but just let it go. Â
Is this a joke? who would hype a game that has been one of nintendos worst franchises for years.laughingman42
Mario Party has been a huge joke for a while now, but we're giving them a last chance with this release. Mario Party 4 on gamecube was wicked fun and the first for gamecube, so mario party 8, being hte first for wii, is given the benefit of the doubt.

Mario Party is more than a simple minigame collection, is a fun board game on your TV!Â
I really enjoy mario party with my family. I'll probably end up buying it if it turns out good. But 50$ bucks is just too expensive for me. (I'd gladly buy it at 30$)Â
Is this a joke? who would hype a game that has been one of nintendos worst franchises for years.laughingman42There is a huge difference sometimes between what reviewers think is good and what casuals/non-gamers think is good. Look at Wii Sports. That game got in the 70's on virtually every review yet it's one of the most talked about/played games of all time.

Yea I have 4 kinda by accident. (I accidentally stole it from my friend who doesnt live in the state) and its good. I reanted 5 and 6 and they were kinda meh, i didnt bother with 7AAA all the wayI honestly would not be surprised if this game does not even get A. Anyone who rates it AAA will be severely owned. It will be a great game no matter the rating though.
And no, I'm not hyping it AAA because that is what it deserves. My actual hype would be AA, but I'm hyping it AAA because that is what Gamespot is going to give it even if it doesn't deserve AAA just so they can paint the Wii as a console best suited for mini games. Just you watch. But if it is not AAA, I bet you it will score higher than TP or Super Paper Mario.peaceful_anger

Thats the reason why the reviews have been bad. The actual quality of the games have been consistant just terribly unoriginal. I have plaid every single Mario Party so I can attest to that.

....Another Mario franchise game? God, this topic deserves a gimmicy response from a franchise that is just as tired and dry:
Real Score: 7.5-8.2
Real Value: 4.2-5.6
Agent Panda: Why, Mr. Nintendo? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep developing? Do you believe you're programming for something? For more than profit? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it a valid plot contingency? Or character development? Perhaps closure? Yes? No? Illusions, Mr. Nintendo. Vagaries of perception. The temporary constructs of a feeble developer's intellect trying desperately to justify a franchise label that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the franchise label itself, although only a developer's mind could invent something as insipid as Mario Party LLXVII. You must be able to see it, Mr. Ninendo. You must know it by now. You can't provide a quality product. It's pointless to keep developing. Why, Mr. Nintendo? WHY?Â
WHY DO YOU PERSIST?
