Spark Unlimited are bringing their years of expertise and experience to the franchise!
Star Wars: Battlefront 3 brought to you by the makers of such masterpieces and timeless classics like Turning Point and Legendary!!!
Don't worry. The Ip is is safe hands.
Lucas Arts does not like money and Pandemic went under.
And I would not want EA/Dice to touch BF3 with a 10 foot pole, EA/Bioware ruined SWTOR, and I will not support EA/Dice ****ing up SWBF3. It would be a CoD clone with Day one DLC. I will not have it!
I cant think of anyone who could capture large scale warfare with air and land battles better tho? :s Help me Spark unlimited , your my only hopeLucas Arts does not like money and Pandemic went under.

I agree having Battlefront 3 in the hands of a developer like DICE would be amazing. Unfortunately it looks like if the game is being developed, it's by Spark Unlimited.
I can't comprehend why LucasArts isn't taking the making of Battlefront 3 a priority. Screw the Force Unleashed, Battlefront 3 is where the money is at.

Yeah they close down pandemic because their Star Wars games clearly weren't of the same quality as anything Spark can make.

EA closed Pandemic, not Lucas Arts. Most of Pandemic is now under 343 studios. They're making Halo 4. From Star Wars to a generice FPS game. What a shame.
Lets hope the rumors are true & SWBF3 is back under development. I may not be a fan of Spark Unlimited but i will surely give them a chance.

If anyone could pull off a Battlefront game, its probably DICE. Epic 64 man battles across Naboo, or fighting in space to destroy the Death Star.
I don't think destruction is a big necessity with Star Wars games, so they could probably pull off higher numbers on consoles, or at least wait until the next generation. Either way I'd get it on PC so as to not miss out even a few players I could be playing with in a full match.

SWBF2 had 64 player battles on PC iirc. And not only that, Pandemic had some VERY good map designs. Most of Pandemic is now under 343 studios. They're making Halo 4. From Star Wars to a generice FPS game. What a shame.

If the community is even a little bit active, I'll go to Steam and buy the sh!tout of that game.
Thats what I'm wondering. It's been so long! We need SWBF3! If it's develped by someone like Treyarch or DICE then that would be pretty sick. As long as they it a TPS and not FPS. The Battlefront series is more enjoyable in third person.

I believe there are still a few active servers. Been a while since I loaded it.I agree with that, would be funny though.Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 annoyed the hell out of me in the online multiplayer with the constant rubberbanding, lagging, and disconnecting, despite me having an excellent connection, but if Battlefield and Star Wars merged...Oh yea.[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]I would buy Battlefront 3 if developed by DICE...just like that.mitu123
It died.
And why suggestions for Dice to do it? Sure they have simialrities but Dice ain't no 3rd person shooter specialists here. We need Epic games or something
Wait, it doesn't have mod support? It never did...[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"][QUOTE="Am_Confucius"]
And this is why BF3 needs mod-support.

And its a reason I hate EA, though I guess to be fair the engine is pretty nice and neat and new and they don't want just anyone messing around with it yet.
They haven't ruled it out yet, but sadly as long as EA wants money, it won't happen.

Not much brings in the mindless fanboy drones better than moddability ::looks at Bethesda::, they should really allow it.[QUOTE="balfe1990"]

Doesn't make sense? That huge modding community keeps a ton of people hooked on Bethesda's brand of cocaine, it's not like Bethesda couldn't have worked harder to get rid of some of the dumb bugs, or spent time polishing up the game a little. Like the whole normal maps for faces in the stock version of the game, were fixed within hours of release by modders.
Bugs?!? It's a Bethesda game, it adds flavor.
Legendary! That's the game I am wondering if I should Keep or sell! Almost forgot! You're in luck!

So, people of this thread, how can we get EA to let us give them our money in return for Battlefield: Star Wars?Hexagon_777If that happens I will burn Down DICE's and EA's headquaters in protest.

Tripwire did Red Orchestar 1, and RO2, And also made Killing Floor. Tripwire games have THE best gunplay. PERIOD! It is not disputible, it is fact.Relic did Space Marine, though the SP was awesome, the Multiplayer was basically CoD in a 40k setting and in a TPS form, but if they smarten up, I think they could pull it off.
Croteam made Serious Sam. Pretty much sums it up.
And Gearbox would be an interesting option, maybe do a Republic Commando style Co-op mode, while having the classic mode.
I just don't want Battlefield: Star Wars edition, EVEN MORE SO with EA behind it, as it will turn int COD: Battlefield Star Wars edition. and I will HATE who ever does that.
EDIT: and interesting side note, the guys at Parado had a meeting one day were all they talked about was Star Wars game ideas. And an interesting thing they said they brought up is almost all their ideas would go against the "safe" Star Wars games. Basically here is what one of the higher ups said (I'm pretty sure he was higher, and he was responding to one of my questions).
I would
1: Make a X-wing/Tie-fighter games for the PC/Mac. They would be complex and offer depth in gameplay.
2: I would Make a sequel to "Republic Commando"
3: I would make a RPG that focuses on fringe parts of the universe. I.e you play as an interesting character (not a jedi, princess, sith or other "epic" character). Like Mattias says - it's the spectrum between "smuggler" and "bounty hunter" that's interesting - not "Jedi" and "Sith". Think Firefly in the SW universe.
4: Action Adventure game - imagine Uncharted but set in the Star Wars Universe.
I'll limit myself to four. We did this in the office and everyone basically had suggestions better than what Lucasarts
What a great question!Paradox Rep at their forums
Every inch of hope there is for Battlefront 3 and/or TimeSplitters 4 seems to turn to nothing in the end.
Nevertheless...
Battlefront 3 MUST be given back to Crytek UK (Free Radical), just look at what they did with the game, I can't believe this baby never saw the light of day:

Most of? Really guy? There are currently 6 former Pandemic employees at 343i. I'd hardly that "most of Pandemic." Honestly, LucasArts should just give the reigns to DICE. Battlefront was just really Battlefield: Star Wars. Most of Pandemic is now under 343 studios. They're making Halo 4. From Star Wars to a generice FPS game. What a shame.
