Where will PS3 be when MGS4 comes to the 360.

There's been more than enough hints to legitimize the possibility of the 360 taking MGS4 under its fold.

When MGS4 hits the 360, where would that leave the PS3?

PS3 still has a few good exclusives up its sleeve: Uncharted 2, GoW3, GT5, and hopefully Killzone 2

but losing MGS4 will be a hit on the PS3 brand.

Im thinking ouch.

Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere, the opposite of the Northern Hemisphere! Where will the 360 be when GOW 3, Uncharted, Killzone, Heavy Rain, Infamous comes to PS3? Ninten007

same thing that will always, happen, those games are going to sell loads on the PS3. PS3 getting new games that was already planned for it wont affect 360 games. When the 360 gets a PS3 blockbuster, that'll affect 360 and Ps3 sales.

how do you feel about crying on the sunny side of the southern hemisphere when this comes true. Im just saying that it might be real. After all, ignoring evidence is alot more risky than paying attention to them.

1. Stop assuming, it has to be CONFIRMED first. 2. It won't hurt anybody except for fanboys. It isn't like a port is releasing tomorrow. PS3 already has great exclusives, and it'll have even better exclusives to add to the library in 2009. Also with the upcoming price cut. Sony has nothing to worry about.WatchmenWatchUs

the price cuts were going to happen anyways, but if this happens, and Im saying that the likelihood is increasing. PS3 sales will take a hit. MGS4 going over to 360 = GeOW going over to PS3. Sony will still sell lots but MS will get a huge sales boost from this.

Not really. Example is Bioshock and Eternal Sononta. They both came out on the 360 first like a year before the PS3 version. PS3 versions did not sell as well as when it first came out a year ago. People tend to buy something they really want when it is already available, especially when its been out for so long.

So everyone who wanted to play MGS 4 has already done so and thus will not wait a year or two for it to come to another system.

It anything this is a NEW MGS. It may be multiplat, a 360 exclusive, a PS3 exclusive, a Wii exclusive, etc. No one knows.

I love this, i've never seen a game envied and wanted so much. I don't think these "MGS4 is coming to 360 threads" will ever stop. Funny stuff. TOOLFRENZY

the question is why would lemmings want MGSIV considering its been bashed so much for so many (stupid) reasons ???

thats a bit thinking in the short term. If MGS4 does get a 360 port, Konami will be opening the flood gate that cant be closed. We know that soo many 360 players will buy MGS4 if it releases. This inflow of revenue will give Konami the taste of being a true multiplatform blockbuster. Usually sony can pay Konami to keep the exclusive. But with Sony's track record and the potential for blockbuster revenue, I dont think Sony can hold Konami back from becoming truely multiplatform with its acclaimed series. So im thinking that the long term consequence of this move will be more far reaching that just boosts in sales.
