Ryu Hayabusa was in Dead or Alive and he was ideal for an action game which eventually happened in the form of Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox. so I reckon there must be other beat-um-up characters who would be perfect for an action game.

I reckon Yoshimitsu would be perfect for an action game, it would be similar to Ninja Gaiden except you would obviously play as a samurai.

In your opinion which Beat-um-up Character would be awesome for an action game ?

Ryu Hayabusa already had 6 games before he was in Dead or Alive or in the Xbox Ninja Gaiden.

Aye... And several of them were the best early console action games.

There is also the Ninja Gaiden Arcade game and though the ninja was "nameless", I believe we might as well just consider him to be Ryu.
