Microsoft. They just bought a bunch of studios that were once third party. They keep going and they won't need their own console anymore.
John, you've already been there, seen it, done it. Tell us how it all pans out don't make us wait.
Or just send a T2 back with the info. Thanks.
Sony is fucked if they don't step up their game! They better be quick to buy EA or Microsoft will deliver the final blow
Once these trillion dollar companies invest more and more into the metaverse, with gaming being its major draw factor, Sony just won't be able to compete. They'll likely sell to the highest bidder.
When the 'metaverse' hits and VR becomes mainstream similar to gaming on a phone, it won't be a matter of console wars, but more of an asset war. Which trillion dollar company will have enough assets (games and other entertainment) to bet the most people to invest and spend time in their 'spaces'.

EA brings in $6 billion in revenue each year. By comparison, Activision brings in $8 billion. If Activision sold for $70 billion, EA would go for around $60 billion.
Sony is only worth $200 billion. It's not feasible.
Activision admitted they need Microsoft in order to compete with these other trillion dollar companies once the metaverse hits. I'm sure these companies are having a bidding war right now for EA.
I think Microsoft will offer Sony the chance to have Game Pass on PS consoles, so it will be their opportunity to let slip through their fingers.
@theam0g:
Sony's a conglomerate and isn't evaluated like a tech stock. It's pieces are worth significantly more than it's whole.
Ex. PlayStation alone would be worth well over half of Sony's market cap if it were evaluated like other video game companies.
That may sound crazy but, they make more revenue than Activision, Ubisoft, EA and Take Two combined.
Nintendont will become part of MS and Phony will be bought by one of the big tech outfits shortly. :P
Wait for the next big announcement this week. That'll be your answer.
what big announcement?

Ew, surely there are much better choices, and please don't even mention Ubisoft
EA Ubisoft and Activision are the leading 3 garbage companies in the industry
I hear people wanting Sony to buy Capcom, Konami, Sega and Square Enix. Man this is setting up to be a crap storm.

I know. There is Rockstar... but over the past 10 years, they've turned into EA.
It's all about the money and EA makes a ton of money from their sports games, it's a sad sight :(
