Which console deserves to be selling the most right now?

As we know, the Wii is leading the console war now despite launching after both the 360 and the PS3 (after launching a whole year after the 360!), but which console, in your opinion, deserves to be selling the most and for what reason/s?

My thoughts:

Although I want the PS3 to win (and think it will) I'm not too impressed by the console yet, but the 360 is already great, and it hasn't been out for that long.

Although I think hardware problems are unacceptable, it's good to see MS give free warranties. Also, the 360 (imo) has the best games out of the 3 current gen consoles, and while I think the console is slightly expensive, it is still good value for money I believe (I'm talking Premium).

Good games + fairly good value for money + free warranties adds up to deserving sales imo. So, that'd be my pick.

What do you guys think? Which console deserves to be selling the most right now and why?

I agree with your post TVB... honestly if they fixed or never had hardware failure the 360 with Halo 3 just out too would Easily be beating the Wii right now it overall sales worldwide and probably still be tied with it when q4 was done.

But the hardware problems Im sure turned alot of people off and loss them already gained customers on top of that.

Xbox 360 is the only console that has been able to deliver enough good games this gen so far, a decent mix of new IPs and next gen sequels to great games and the like...

I think it deserves to be selling the best, but I'm not going to be put out if it doesn't sell the best, at the end of the day if I'm having fun with it, it's a good purchase.

360, best games...

Wii is cheap, but still way overpriced...

I guess the Wii "deserves" to be, seeing as it has done a great job of winning over people even with a rather weak game lineup.

I dont know really. Not the 360, I have one but I think the RROD is unnaceptable. Would you buy a TV if you knew it had a 33% faliure rate? I would not but MS kept it a secret or otherwise thay would have no sales. Its silly they still sell consoles with such a fault. plus without a hard drive games cannot be maxed out.

the ps3 is starting to show some promising games abd has loads of other features to keep you happy (which I use like internet browser and PSP support) and it is a cheap blue ray player. But until 08 it will not sell with all the exclusives coming out next year. and it is not faulty.

the Wii is cheap and fun. I like mine but there are not enough games to keep me happy. I was counting on there being more shooter but oh well. wii sports is still entertaining. It is small and reliable and is creative and probably the most fun. So it deserves its sales.

I think the wii deservesthe most sales but if it dosent get more games out that will ppeal to more people it will fade soon. I hope the ps3 does well soon the games coming out for it and I think sony made a REALLY good console. Problem is there are not eough games out yet to justify the price. but that will change next year.

I can see why the wii is doing good but I hope the ps3 does well soon.

Considering the Wii is the only real next gen machine right now I'll go with that

Microsoft (once it gets the design flaw fixed and wants to fix it's backwards support) and Sony (once they decide on which console they want to make and if it will or will not have rumble) are both good but just rehashed from last gen and then gen before that and the gen before that and then before that.........

Plus Microsoft and Sony are going for the "Small pond" approach, so how can either one of them be worthy of being number one when they think small?

The 360, the Wii is too expensive for a novalty thing. I can buy a cheep motion controll game at my local argos for like £40 and it has the same quality of games that the Wii does. Bar MP3 and zelda possibly.death1505921

360 = Good Games (if you really think they are "amazing" then you truly haven't been gaming for long or have never imported before); Horrible Hardware

Wii = Unique; Bad Games

PS3 = Bang for Your Buck ; Few Exclusives

For games 360

For affordability Wii

For longevity PS3

the wii. It has earned its sales because it is doing something different.

the 360 was a rushed console. That much is obvious. RROD is proof. Not just that, but also that it simply is not that great of an upgrade from last gen. A lot of you talk about AI and physics and characters on the screen, but seriously only a hardcore gamer would notice the truly miniscule upgrades in how these affect actual game mechanics. This is perhaps the smallest upgrade in console gen history. Oh, but now we can fight hordes of enemies! big whoop! Pretty though

the ps3 is possibly more rushed than the 360. Itis abetter machine but with fatal flaws. It seems like a great console, developed with patience, but then rushed through the final phases to catch up to microsoft. If sony would have waited, they could have made a machine that was obviously superior in every way and ata sane price, but it just isn't. The choice becomes price in the 360 versus reliability in the ps3. Then, there is of course the software edge that 360 has. At this point the ps3's only hope is that quality will out-duel quantity (for the first time in console war history lol--IF the ps3 can make superior quality)

The Wii deserves to sell the most because it appeals to the largest group of people. If your asking me which I like the most now its the 360 but the Wii deserves to sell the most because it is hitting the market with the most efficiency. Why wouldn't a console that targets so many demographics deserve to sell the most? Blackbond

Yeah, I am asking you. I know Wii appeals to lots of people but I don't see that as a reason for why it should be selling well. I mean, that doesn't affect us (yet).

The ps3 has better harware reliability then the xbxo 360.

360, games and good customer service.

Wii is winning because it is cheap, it doesnt deliver on service or standards, it its game line up is extremely weak.

PS3 is not even worth mentioning.

360 should be selling the most based on current games, 2nd should be ps3 based mostly on it having the best future lineup.....and Wii....well... yeah...:?MikeE21286

Um read what you wrote. Appealing to a large amount of people is exactly why its selling so well man. If product A) Appeals to 10 people and product B) Appeal to 100 people which one is more then likely to sell better.

What I mean is that I don't see it as a reason for why someone here would say it deserves to selling well. If I were gonna defend the Wii, I'd say it deserves to sell well cause of upcoming games like SMG, SSBB, and games out like MP3, TP, SPM, and because the console gives a very unique experience.

I wouldn't say it deserves to sell well simply for appealing to a large amount of people. That doesn't affect me personally.
