Which console is doing better outside of the U.S?

Which other countries? From anecdotal evidence I think it's something like:

Japan: the PS3

Britain: the 360

Germany and France: the PS3

Australia: the 360

Ok so here's some data I found to try and make sense of it all.

The latest data (Jan 2008) I could find from France is that the PS3 is still slightly behind the 360, the userbases are at around 589, 000 (360) and 563 000 (PS3).

For the UK, the 360 version of GTA 4 seemed to move more.

I just wanted to know because I dont follow sales very much and my friend to me PS3 and Wii, but I dont belive him. Which console is selling better in other countries?Sony_Narutendo

MS said they were up a million units in Europe recently. Sony did not deny it.

Sony is up 1.5 million in Japan. Everyone knows that.

So technically Sony wins, although I would rather have Europe than Japan. Europe has better developers to me.

NA, Europe, and Japan Aside, 360 is #1 in the rest of the world believe it or not.

Countries like Mexico, India, South Africa, Middle East, and even Korea all buy 360's more then the competition.

whos fault is that? Nintendo and Sony got to get their act together and get a presence over there. COuntries like India, mexico, and China are boming markets, and MS got there first.

360 wins in the UK

PS3 has a slight lead in EU (excl. UK) (but that lead will probably grow)

Still, Sony should thank God the 360 tanked in Japan. If the 360 was compeditive in JP, the PS3 would be in big, big trouble.

Well, the PS3 is currently selling more than the 360 in the UK, but the 360 is still ahead in total sales. I think it's 2 million 360's compared to 1.3 million PS3's. The PS3's performance in the UK is incredible though- it sold a million units even quicker than the PS2, despite the £425 price tag and the fact that it has competition.

The wii is winning everywhere.

Actually the PS3 is winning in the UK, it's selling better than the XBOX360 now. If you are talking install base then yeah the 360 is on top.
