Nintendo 64. Back then, Rare made some absolutely FANTASTIC Games (Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, etc).
Plus the First-Party Games were (Mostly) Fantastic (Zelda: OOT/Zelda MM, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, etc).
Also, the Console sported quite a few Innovations that are still here today (Rumble, Analog Stick, etc).

i thougth ps1 had dual analog sticks around the same time n64 came out
please correct me if am wrong
No the PS1 first got Analogue Sticks when Gran Turismo was released December 23rd 1997 (Japan) and it got Rumble for Metal Gear Solid September 3, 1998 (Japan)N64 got it in June 23rd, 1996 (Japan) N64 got Rumble when Star Fox 64 was released which was April 27th, 1997 (Japan)
No it was before GT1, it was originally used in like Bushido Blade, uh, hold on :
"SONY's DUAL ANALOG PSONE CONTROLLER"
"Initially announced in a press release in late 1995 [1], The Dual Analog Controller was first displayed under glass at the PlayStation Expo 96-97 which was held from November 1 to November 4, 1996. It was released in Japan in April 1997, coincident with the Japanese releases of analog-capable titles Tobal 2 and Bushido Blade."

As far as RUMBLE,The DualShock was introduced in Japan in late 1997, and launched in America in May 1998
That's what I dug up at least so far.
Still, Nintendo was first, but I wanted the dates right. :)
