Which console brand is pushing gaming in a good direction and will likely be the best based on your opinions?

The cloud is real!
I believe this is going to be big for all consoles, and PC.
It is already proven to be less bandwidth than Netflix or game streaming through Sony.
I am looking forward to seeing more.
PS4 is, over 30 million consoles sold in just over two years is a strong sign that gaming is not going anywhere and mobile is definitely not taking over.
PS4 is also a great place for indies. PS4 gave an enormous push to Rocket League right out of the gate and it's gone on to be one of the best games over the year overall not just of the indie games released this year.
PS4 also has a wide array of exclusive titles for all types of gaming fans. Tearaway Unfolded and Ratchet & Clank for lovers of 3D platformers, MLB the Show series which receives about as much acclaim as the very popular NBA 2K franchise. It's still the preferred console for Japanese developers and has many JRPGs being released for it in the next year.
So yeah, PS4 is definitely the right choice for what console is pushing gaming forward as well as keeping console gaming alive and well.
The Wii U is pushing dual screen gaming for the first time on a console. Some of the uses are pretty creative.
The PS4 has remote play with the Vita. Even though the result isn't overly great, it is an innovation and worth mentioning.
The Bone seems to have a pretty good streaming platform between it and the PC.
The 3DS has the glasses free 3D, a spotty first generation and a greatly improved "New" generation.
None of them are particularly good honestly. The 3DS is the one I like the most simply because the technology has the most potential in my eyes to do great things if it was iterated upon in a meaningful way.
If the Wii U had actually utilized its gamepad well, it could have been pushing games forward in a positive way, but Nintendo fucked up with that. the XB1 and PS4 are more of refinements over the previous generation, so unfortunately, right now, there's zero consoles doing anything new for the market right now.
I suspect the NX will be huge, IF Nintendo can handle it properly. After the Wii U, I'm cautious, but I'm hopeful too.
Both consoles are... I might be really easy to please but I am happy with both consoles, there are actually so many good games out there that I just don't have time to play them all, didn't get fallout 4 yet , haven't finished MG5 yet and don't know when I'll have time (I have a life and a job as well)... Xbox one and ps4 already have many more features than the previous gen and both are a significant step forward... Both aren't perfect and criticism is important (500gb HD, completely insufficient, some games are too expensive) but I do not understand why at the end of 2015 people are still believing this gen is the worst ever... really? aren't you having fun playing halo 5, blood borne, the witcher 3, mgs5, forza 6, rise of the tomb raider, aren't you looking forward to play uncharted 4, no man's sky and gears 4? Well I am.
I vote for "None of them" they are kind of busy playing catchup to what was promised last gen, to innovate.
On the horizon I see some potential from VR, which means Sony might help pushing games far ward at that time.
Microsofts AR is also fairly fascinating, although some issues with how much can be displayed is an issue at present, but it could also push gaming in new directions, or just advance in general.
I will argue that if some of the NX rumors are true, then I will vote Nintendo without a second thought. The Wii U is not an important milestole, even though the tech in it is rather impressive (referring to the pad here).
As it stands now though? MS and Sony are playing around with gimped PCs, and Nintendo made a dud (a cool one, but still a dud).
So with what we know for sure, I would argue that Sony is likely in a position to push gaming forward the best, with the VR focus (and a whole lot of help from the PC).
I only say Sony however since we do not know the truth about the NX, but if we have a console whose controllers are dedicated handhelds? and can take said game on the go? yeah that is pretty damn groundbreaking, not to mention the infrastructure on that thing. If the rumors are true, then Nintendo might actively rewrite more then a few rules, and come out with a model which will be copied by more then a few consoles going forward
MS has the most on the line here, their AR holds a lot of promise, but limitations already stated, and the fact that they do NOT have the help of additional companies work with the same issues (as VR does), leaves MS in an odd position where they can potentially fail, or have so limited appeal overall (though as far as I am aware, the Hololens is its own thing, and not linked to a console).
Oh how I enjoy pretending to know what I talk about :P
None of the three current gen consoles are pushing anything forward at the moment.
In fact there's been some regression with stuff like paying for online or no backwards compatibility etc.
Is the PS4 really pushing gaming forward? I really like the PS4 but it's not doing anything really drastic. I guess you can count PS Now as a step forward, but Microsoft tried to make drastic changes right away. They could have done it better and maybe they strayed too far from familiar ground, but they certainly did more than Sony.
That's likely to change with PS VR coming out which I think will be a big hit. I can't wait to get one ;).
NONE of them.
Maybe except Nintendo's Wii last gen, with the Wii Remote. I admit, the Wii was godawful where hardware power & 3rd party support is concerned. And the Wii motion sensing controls wasn't my cup of tea, I even bashed the Wii and sheep supporters for it quite a few times. But after trying a few times, it REALLY had POTENTIAL to replace the Dual Analog controls for certain genres, especially FPS and TPS games. Targeting enemies in CoD WaW and Reflex was easy and seemed convenient, from my experience, and there was a point where I didn't want to go back at all to my CoD 360 versions.
None. But between Xbox One and Playstation 4 I'd say PS4.
HUH? So which is it? None or the PS4 lol.
