Alright Gamespot.
I'm trying to decide which next-gen console I would like to pre-order. I was leaning towards the PS4 but now that Microsoft has changed their policies for the Xbox One, i'm not sure which one to go for. They both seem equally graphicly capable (yes i'm aware that the PS4 has faster RAM) and they both have a pretty strong game line-up.. I'm really into Fps and RPG games but I still occasionally enjoy some racing and fighting.
What would you guys reccomend?

RPGS - PS4 will probably get all the western titles and a hell of a lot more japanese ones (if you are into those)
FPS - Halo still doesn't have an exclusive equivalent on the playstation. However, on day 1, there will be a few free to play MMO shooters on the ps4 if you want to try those out. Destiny also does get exclusive content on the PS4 and both will be getting all the other big games like COD and BF4. These get dlc 1 month early on xbox however. Titanfall is currently only planned for Xbox and PC, but there's lots of speculation that'll just be a timed deal.
Racing - What kind of racing? Sim or Arcade? Well, the big exclusive names relevant today are Forza, Gran Turismo, and Driveclub. Driveclub is unproven, but if you sign up for ps+ you get a free version of it with a little less cars and tracks, I think. Forza 5 will be a launch title for Xbone. Gran Turismo 6 MIGHT get a ps4 port, but right now, nothing is clear. All other racers announced at this point are multiplat.
Fighting - Xbone does have Killer Instinct as a noteworthy exclusive. It will have a free to play model with 1 character you can use, or you can just buy the normal game. Heard it's not made by Rare, though. I don't really pay attention to this genre, so I can't tell you if there are any other exclusives. Assume most or the rest will be multiplats.

After that, I guess it's up to factors like price, online capabilities, online pricing, etc small things like that. MS has a proven larger infrastructure and plans for stuff with cloud computing with their large network while all we really know regarding Sony on that matter is they also have the technology, but the bigger focus is using cloud tech to gain backwards compatibility. A mic will ship with every ps4 and it will be $100 and the online costs should you get + will be $10 cheaper per year. A kinect will come with every Xbone though.
The d-pad, which sucked for fighters on the 360 has been corrected for the Xbone controller. The triggers, size, and analog stick looseness which people didn't like for shooters on ps3 have been fixed for the ps4 controller.
Edit: Oh! a big thing that might matter. If you own a racing wheel or a fancy headset, I don't think those will work on for the Xbox One. MS talked about adapter plans for headsets, but there's nothing solid. Their solution for the most part is buying new accessories. PS4, I THINK it's been confirmed all the usb accessories and stuff like that will work on ps4. Move controllers would too, if you like those. DS3 is the only thing I know won't be compatible.
