actually wii , is and will always be the top console and thats a fact because look at history once ps1 got on top sony stayed there for 2 whole genereations , i expect to see nintendo do the same and with wii 2 in development it can happen ,

I think Playstation 3 has done really well this year. 360 has had some great titles come out but sparcely. I thought they had more going for them last year than this year. Playstation 3 has managed to make a big come back and provide some good titles. I value it like that rather than sales or units shipped.

As for Wii, I thought 2008 has been pretty bad for them. Sure the sales speak otherwise but they haven't provided anything really new or awe inspiring. Hopefully they'll have some new games to speak louder next year.

So as you can see, the winner for me is the 360.

Probably PS3. Not saying it's better than the 360 overall but it sure has picked itself back up off the ground. Releasing the DS3, MGS4, best hardware sales most of the year, PSN getting major updates, etc.jharv

Yeah, I'm very impressed with the PS3. I thought it was a dead platform at one point, but it's done very well. I'm considering getting one...for now, I'm a Wii60 owner, though.

Results

I'm actually really surprised by the results. While the 360 has a good back catalogue, for 2008, it's actually done pretty bad in terms of exclusive titles. Most people have ignored the fact that it has actually only received a few exclusive titles this year, with one of their strongest titles recently scoring sub-A.

It's actually looking to be a very good year for Playstation 3 owners this time around, with potentially 4 AAA+ titles, and strong number of A~AA titles.
