Which current generation console do you like the most and why? (Poll)

I have all 3 consoles this generation, and I play them all a lot. I own awesome games on all of them. Each console has many exclusive games that are amazing. Some of the exclusives offer very unique experiences that can't be played or experienced anywhere else. Other exclusives for each console are best in genre, generation defining and simply shouldn't be missed, fully warranting the purchase of the console.

Playstation 3 is my favorite console this generation. I like the hardware and software the best. PS3 may cost a bit more than the competition, but all of the features and technology included as standard make it worth it. Ultimately, it all comes down to games. Metal Gear Solid is my favorite gaming series, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is PS3 exclusive, so that is a huge reason for me. Demon's Souls is my favorite game this generation, so that is another big reason for my choice.

I love the Wii and 360, but if I was forced to only keep one of my current generation consoles, I would keep my PS3.

PS3. I just like the exclusives better. I've also grown extremely accustomed to the PS3 controller. Bluray is a nice feature as well.

And it's the only system that can play the original Valkyria Chronicles.

Wii, it may lack multiplats but it has some of best 1st party games I've played this gen.

Based on games, price, bonus features, and the amount of games and hours I've out into them.

ps3. I like controler more,free online and has exclusives i want to play.

PS3 > Wii (By a few games and cause it has surround sound and 720p) and I just don't care about the 360.

Playstation 3, because it's got the most games that I like.

I like the PS3 cuz it doesn't need AA batteries in the controller. A batteries I mean how lame can you get?

My 360 is the one I would probably keep. While the Wii has some utterly fantastic games, I consistently play my 360 whereas I play the Wii on a game to game basis. Hopefully that'll change with the Wii U.

I choose the PS3 because it has the high quality exclusives.

I voted PS3 because:

1. Good variety of exclusives (this is the MAIN reason to buy ANY system) and I like Uncharted, LBP, and MGS4 more than Halo and Mario. Also you get more than just shooters with the PS3.

2. Free online multiplayer, i used to use xbox live (still have a few months left) when all I had was a 360 but after I got a PS3 I just jumped over to PSN. It does just about everything that xbox live does except for parties and stuff, but I can live without that and it's not worth paying for IMO. Also I play on PC as well so it doesn't make sense to charge for a p2p service for the game you just bought, you should be allowed to access all the features that you paid for, not just half of them.

3. Blu Ray, I'm a pretty big movie buff/goer so having the best HD is important to me. It's also going to be the future format for video games as well when they start running out of room on the DVD.

I also get to play great multiplats as well and still get great exclusives too. The best system I ever bought (ok it's the only system that I ever bought but still)

Oh and I prefer the PS3 controller over the 360's, not saying the 360's is bad as I have no issues using it, I just prefer the PS3's I think because I grew up with it.

PS3 has great graphics, free online, superb exclusives

Wii is in a close second with fun gameplay and good first party support

PS3. I've become used to the controller and the ps3 has great exclusiveseries like uncharted and infamous and littlebigplanet and modnation racers.

Not to mention wireless internet is a bonus too.

Anyways, "360" gets my vote -- strong third-party support(best versions of the multiplats for most of the gen as well), best online service of the three(the XBL community actually has a pulse at that), great controller, nice SKU pricing, a few quality exclusives here and there, all the cool kids owned one, etc.

I feel like I just stumbled upon a dairy farm.

Anyways, "360" gets my vote -- strong third-party support(best versions of the multiplats for most of the gen as well), best online service of the three(the XBL community actually has a pulse at that), great controller, nice SKU pricing, a few quality exclusives here and there, all the cool kids owned one, etc.

Anyway, i've had a ton of fun with both the PS3 and 360 this gen, and i think they're both fantastic consoles, though i do prefer XBL to PSN. So i voted 360.

Its kinda hard for me to choose between the 360 and PS3, though I slightly like the PS3 over the 360 cause of free online and the uncharted series.

PS3 better exclusives and great 3rd party.... and i dont have to pay for online.

Nintendo DS is my favorite.

• Inexpensive games
• Huge library
• Tons of variety, games of many kinds
• Excellent for RPGs

Other than DS, PC, for all the same reasons as the DS.

yea this makes no sense. So the psn community has no actitivty?

I don't like Microsoft so I don't own a 360 but I have a PS3 and Wii.I have a ton of games for my ps3 but I like the Wii more. I just can't stop playing Mario Galaxy and Metroid Trilogy.

Yea, as opposed to the battery eventually dying in the DS3, then it losing its "wireless" capability. Enjoy playing with it constantly plugged in in a few years time, or buy another controller. Did you know Sony designed their controller to be disposable? At least with the 360's, you can buy recharge packs that last years and can be replaced for cheap. Plus you always have one charged so when the other runs out it's a quick swap. Haven't played your PS3 in a while? Whoops, dead controller. *grabs cord*. No thanks....

Aaaaaaaanyways. 360 for me. Better controller, I enjoy Live, no mandatory installs and updates that are 3 gigs. A majority of the time games run better on the 360 anyhow. After that it's the PC, then PS3 and Wii.

360. It has the best games.

It's sad that the last year and this year are mostly about Kinect, it will be remembered for Kinect it seems and not the fantastic system it was before that. :(

It has it's cons of course like paying for online, but whilst it's the best online service on consoles it won't be a big deal.

I prefer Xbox 360 but Ps3 has some good exclusives.

The builds are about the same(Comparing ps3 slim to original Xbox 360) Ps3 slim's build are complete garbage, which explains the price. And all other fat and good ps3's are starting to die off. Died on me after 1 year. Fixed it, sold it.

Xbox 360 is has less expensive parts (The PSU is only 15 bucks compared to PS3's $100 price tag) And works better. I have a launch console. Still going strong.

I like Xbox 360 the most because the Wii is possibly the worst console of any generation & I've never played Playstation 3. From everything I've heard, the PS3 seems to be the best out there, but I've never played it (because of its price tag).

PS3. Great games plus I can watch blu ray movies/tv shows.

i like the wii alot more because its the all around console, it is not powerful but hey its not flooded with fpses either

wii because

1-free online

2 -good exclusives and alot of those to from first and 3rd party

3 virtual console and gc backwards compatibility

4- price of games is 10 dollars cheaper

5 -variety in games -youll never see a majority of one genre over another with wii

6 - its got nintendo behind it and anything nintendo made so far is quality /reliability at best

sony ps3-

i pick this as a 2nd console because i have a 360 but ya we all know how many times those break and i pck ps3 for number 2 because

ds because it has alot of awsome games plus dslite /dsphat play gba games dsi has dsiware , i have downloaded these on 3ds , but ya gotta say ds has the handheld down so does 3ds so far

not disappointed yet-just the scratches on my screen but other then that oh well not bothering my gameplay expeirence as i only notice it in direct sunlight and i cant play to welll in direct sunlight to begin with so i just keep it off in direct sunlight

the 360 did not make it because

1-i gotta pay 60 bucks for online a year-up from the original 50

2 -un reliable -9 have broken on me since march 2006 -my first 360

3 - to many of fps genre

4 not that many exclusives-36 first party and a handful of 3rd party- pals in comparision to wii period

and the games cost 60 kenict is a waste i just cant stand 360 any more i still play pd xbla and gta iv on it but ya

psp also did not get mentioned well because lack of games killed it i only like about 20 games on psp and thats it mostly exclusive or ones that were once exclusives but ported to ps2 later on such as gta lcs and vcs and syphon filter dark mirror

xbox. for Forza and playing with friends

PS3, because it's better than anything else available.

Honestly, this is the first generation of consoles where there was only one console worth owning that I can remember since the NES.
