which game could be released now and still score high?

some examples but for sure mgs4 would not get a 10 after all those installations smh or add your own suggestions (gamespot 60 character count is lame!!!!!)

If Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 swapped places Uncharted 3 would have been bigger than Uncharted 2.

@happyduds77: 100% agree. The knock on uncharted 3 isn't so much the game itself, it's that it really does nothing to elevate it over uncharted 2. It was more of the same. The jump from the first uncharted to the second was FAR GREATER than the jump from the 2nd to 3rd

If it released today it would get a 5 or a 6. I thought the point was to name games that would still score high.

Yeah I 2nd Uncharted 2. I still think it would pull a 9 here and a 9.5-10 on IGN.

MGS 4 had some huge framerate issues and more recent games have done what MGS has done but better.

Mass Effect 1 had some problems like the 100000 elevators masking load times, controlling the MAKO and the uneven pacing. But the story and most of the RPG elements still hold up today.

My vote would have to be Bioshock.or Uncharted 2. Gears might score in the 8 range today.

Uncharted 3 was a great game. People just expected another massive leap from the 2nd game. If it's not broken, why fix it?

from that list uncharted 2 and bioshock still get a 9. not played mgs4 or la noir yet so cant comment on the. the rest would get 8 at max.

gears 1 = poor campaign but nice multiplayer - 8.0

killzone 2 = lol, how did it get 9 in the 1st place - 7.0

mass effect 1 - too buggy and the gameplay sucks, story is amazing though - 7.0 maybe even a 6

halo 3 - gameplay feels a little slow by todays standard but still good game - 8.0-9.0
