I dont wanna hear any " but spore could be possibly be delayed making mass effect default winner " I'm only putting these two games on the poll because these are really the only ones i wanted to hear an opinion on :P
Anyways, i have to go with spore. Games that revolutionary dont come daily, mass effect will probably get AAA too, i just expect spore to hopefully get goty. If mass effect had done what spore did, and allow hundreds of galaxies thanks to people across the world to be put in the game and such, expanding the possible lifetime of the game ten-fold, i would choose mass effect.
I know the poll will side with mass effect because of the crazy amount of lemmings here atm, but o well.
is going to have much more appeal than spore, i just dont see spore getting all the attention if they both come out this year, people like aliens... shooters... and great graphics, mass affect seems to be what people want :P
Killzone 2 GOTY 2007 AAAA HYPE CONFIRMED. But seriously I think next year will be a very interesting. I think the contenders will be Halo 3, MGS4, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Mass Effect, UT3, SSBB and a slew of PC games.
First I built cities that were the jewel of SimNation. Then, I built a glorious Civilization that stood the test of time. And now they want me to create a species that can practicaly conquer the galaxy. Yes, I think Spore will get GOTY for me.
I'd say spore. It seems to be bringing alot of new stuff to the table. Mass Effect looks great but basically like KOTOR on steroid minus the star wars license. They may have a more indepth dialogue system that effects gameplay, which is definatly a good idea and arguably new, but other then that it looks similar to past bioware titles. It will be a great game, but has some serious competition for GOTY.

don't worry he's just a blind fanboy as is the tc. As for me I also think mass effect has a better chance of game of the year than Spore. Spore does look great but in my opinion mass effect looks better.
