Which game has a shot at outselling Modern Warfare 3 this fall?

Modern Warfare 3 is the sequel to the best-selling game of all time in the U.S., best-selling game of all time in the UK, best-selling game of all time in all of Europe, fastest game ever to reach $1 billion in retail sales, and the biggest launch in entertainment history (as well as many other records). :cry:

Now that Modern Warfare 3 is coming out this fall, will the (boring?) trend continue or will we have a new champ? Which game has a shot at doing what the CoD series has been doing lately?

Will the records once again... be beaten by Call of Duty?

On a single platform?

Gears 3 maybe.

I'd love to say Halo: CE anniv. but it's not ten years ago anymore.

Other than that, absolutely nothing.

Possibly Skyrim though.:P

Even if there was a price on air, CoD would still outsell it.

Don't want to hate, but if CoD continues at this pace, it will slaughter those franchises in no time. :cry:

Yeah, but I never said CoD wast the best-selling series of all time, so I don't know why you brought it up in the first place...

Hopefully Skyrim, COD come's out every year, and elder scrolls game doesn't, hopefully people will realise this, and buy Skyrim instead, yet a lot of people will buy both... For me, I won't be purchasing COD, and I know a lot of people who are saying the same, yet I know they'll buy it so I think COD will carry on its trend this year, but hopefully not next year... I say this because the multiplayer maps are becoming smaller and simpler (that has been announced) and I know a lot of people enjoyed the large maps, so people will hopefully look to other games, as the way COD is going is over simplified imo. Also, HALO 4 comes out next year, so that will probably lead the sales on the 360... Also if Diablo 3 comes out next year, that will probably lead the sales on the PC, and I haven't really kept up to date with the PS3 if I'm honest.Reach-The-Myth

BF3 might get close but not surpass.

Even if CoD MW3 is a well below average game with the same recycled gameplay, tons of bugs, tons of imbalances, and lacks content, people will still buy it in masses because it's another Call of Duty game. They can't get enough quickscoping and cool looking weapons which have never been used in combat and have 5 attachments on them that have never been used once but look cool.

Wii - Skyward Sword

360 - Gears 3 (Possible Halo A?)

PS3 - Uncharted 3

Gears of War 3 probably has an all right chance, Uncharted 3 as well. I think Skyward Sword was the best chance of the three I listed.
