I'm gonna say Earthbound fans, and fans of the Chrono RPG series. Those are some old games, yet those guys remain as passionate now about them as they did then, if not more so now. It's not about the numbers here like with WoW. Loyalty goes to the EB and Chrono ppl.
People love Mario, but very few people (myself excluded) go out and buy anything just because it features a Mario character. Of course, from a financial perspective, that would be near impossible.
My vote would go for Guitar Hero, even though it is only 3 games long. But if you bought GH1, you then bought GH2 and 3, no questions asked.
