Killzone's repetitive helghast (or whatever their name is). They said the same thing over and over and over in some lame accent. A true beatdown by any standard.
I don't pay attentions to how bad the voice acting is, but I've heard horrifying things about RE1 (Original) and the recent sonic games voice acting hs been abysmal
Barry from Resident Evil 1 wins the prize for worst voice actor (although they were all pretty bad). Most annoying newcomer goes to stupid woman from Mass Effect whos voice makes you want to cheese grater your brain.

The Gamecube remake doesn't feature poor voice acting like the original PSone game. Anyway, Puyo Pop Fever, some Sonic games, House of the Dead II, Siren and Resident Evil original all had poor voice acting but I can't think of any truely bad ones.
Well, the original Resident Evil is just classic. And then there's the latest Sonic games. The voice acting in Red Steel was pretty damn terrible. I feel like I'm forgetting something, though...

You weren't supposed to take him seriously, so his obvious stereotype was bearable. But the others we're trying to be taken seriously, and failed at that.

Sorry, no. FFXII probably has some of the best voice-acting ever in a video game. And the opinion shield doesn't work here, it simply had great voice actors coupled with fantastic facial animations to follow. You might disagree that it's not the best ever, but to say it's one of the worst is definitely wrong.
come on, admit it, gears had really bad lines. I also didn't like how the voices in the cutscenes got muffled sometimes, but it's not like the plot matters, so no big deal
You can't of played too many games if you think Gears was especially bad, no game really has great voice acting except perhaps Splinter Cell, with Michael Ironside and Oblivion, with Patrick Stuart.
A tie between Sonic the Hedgehog-X360 and Sonic and the Secret Rings-Wii. The voice acting in Secret Rings is so bad, that I switched the voice overs to japanese and the subtitles to Italian so that I don't have to understand any of it. I didn't have the privilege of doing that in Sonic the Hedgehog on the 360, so I turned the volume down....ALL the way down.

i love how since i dont like the campy voice work of gears, so i have never played video games before.
i think snakes voice from metal gear solid is wayyyyy to over-dramatic and it shows no emotion at all....its not believable at all... that gets my vote..
