Which games got worst combat in your opinion?

1. The Witcher Trilogy Combat ( one of the most clunkiest combat fest i've ever seen in any rpg )

2.Fallout 3,New Vegas,4 ( Everything is ruined by VATS and AP system. The Elder Scrolls got better combat system )

3.Final Fantasy XIII ( Good ol FF attack and magic system all gone, bosses/sub bosses have to be staggered with neccessary paradigm shifts to even damage them )

Bethesda games. Final Fantasy 13 doesn't even count, it doesn't even have a battle system, Bethesda semi-tries, and it is mega shit mechanically.

Fallout 4 was quite decent with its combat actually.

Those saying Witcher 3, what do you think about Assassin's Creed, Shadow of Mordor? I find both of those inferior and honestly only a few times have I thought to my self "combat, not again" while playing TW3, sadly that cannot be said for Ass greed or Mordor where I deliberately avoided combat towards the end because it's such a chore

Mortal Kombat games. I am not a fan of pressing a button to block. I bet, the only reason they have that is pride, the same reason apple insist on their own silly versions of keyboards and mice, even though everyone has come out with better more comfortable designs.

I'm not saying TW3 has a great combat but it gets the job done, personally i love it. It's a subjective matter tho.

The witcher 3 by far. i used to think assassins creed because of very basic combat. comes out witcher 3 surpass it for having worst combat ever.

Yeah, Bethesda games easily have the worst combat out there. Never could get into Mirror's Edge either.

Ass Creed, all Bethesda titles and TW series are as bad as it gets.

If that's the game we're playing, awhile is an adverb and shouldn't have been used in your sentence, given that you were using "while" as a noun; you should have instead used a while, since that way it could follow a preposition. This is ignoring the obvious mistake when trying to spell "grammar".

While I'm at it, my post and yours quite neatly exemplify the difference between being a pedant and being an ass. The former might well be annoying, but the latter is downright unpleasant.

On topic: I found Skyrim to have god-awful combat... Assassin's Creed's combat is annoying as well as boring af, and Uncharted has a horrible everything where controls are concerned, including combat.

TBH many don't enjoy Souls combat, one of my freinds also dislikes Souls Games for same reason as mems_1224 stated Heh.

Will you avoid Dark Souls 3 mems? Its combat getting more praise over Dark Souls 1,2. You might end up liking it if you enjoyed Bloodborne's fast paced combat :)

@indzman: probably not. Powered through dark souls because I wanted it off my shelf. Played 25 hours of DS2 because a friend bought it for me because he was a huge fan and I never beat it. That's enough for me. I'm fine never playing another one of those games. I don't think there is anything fun about them

Shadow of mordor and pretty much every assassins creed game.

GTA IV, it has the worst combat, driving, characters, graphics, mp etc. The whole game is shit and is the reason I skipped 5 and won't ever touch another game in that series again.

Rating the souls games as worst combat seems like trolling to me.

The souls games are known for having deep combat mechanics, it's kind of the games thing.

I get that people might not like the games, there are some frustrating aspects to them, but the combat itself is among the best in gaming.

Answer to the topic, assassins creed is pretty bad. It feels like it's just press X to win style because spamming the counter button gets you through most combat situations.

It's not just Dark souls that falls into this trap, The Witcher (and others) does as well, that doesn't stop The Witcher being one of my favourite I.P's

I wouldn't go that far lol. I can probably count on one hand how many different types I've beer I've tried. I usually just stick to Shiner which is alright and not offensively bad.

Agree with this. It's amazing how they are able to make such a simple system so clunky at the same time.

I've haven't enjoy a fighting system in any open world game I've played.

GTA V isn't intuitive, Witcher 3 I couldn't stand the floatiness for more than 1h, Assassin's Creed is equally bad this is why I've never played another Ubisoft game after the first Ass Creed. Fallout 3 and I guess Fallout 4 is way too easy with the VAST that almost never miss.

But I guess I'm weird because I did enjoy FF XIII system after a while, especially again the top boss in the last few Cie'th mission

The explosive version of gatling laser and minigun pretty much break the entire game, those legendary effects are broken as hell in fallout 4.
