I find some games more stressful than fun, especially online. I was wondering, which games make you rage and why?

Most recently Street Fighter has been making me most stressed - Moves not executing despite being confident you entered them correctly, online fights consisting of you vs Ken or Ryu 90% of the time. I think I might trade this game in, not because it sucks, but simply because it brings out the worst in me.

Racers. Especially those with the rubber band AI. You know when you're in 1st place then all of a sudden the selected AI pulls in front of you at the last second before the finish line. It can bring a man to tears.

Far Cry - especially the mutant levels. It got so horribly frustrating that I eventually quit the game and felt no intention of finishing it for about four years after that, which tells you just how bad a taste it left in my mouth.

mhmm, im the same way, and with all online fighting games in general, and another particularly raging part of it all is when someone will continue usuing the same high-tier character after like a half dozen matches of obliterating me, and continue to play like it is a $1000 tourny while im going through the list of chracters trying to find my groove.:P

Though i still manage to have a lot of fun to make up for the rage, even when im losing.

Reminds me of Wipeout HD... on elite winning races is pretty much pure chance. Also, you weapons have almost no effect on other racers...

Something about SF just makes me sooo angry. Even when I was a kid playing my bro on the good old snes, we would get soooo angry with each other. Now, playing with people on the other side of the world, the anger is even worse and I can't swear at them for being cheap :)

Every game that's popular that I don't like, (:P) including, but not limited to:

  • Halo 2/3
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • World of Warcraft...Scratch that, MMO's in general
  • Mass Effect
  • Resident Evil 5
  • All Call of Duty's except the first and second

thetruespin

Are you sure you entered the moves correctly? If you're trying to do combos, it's not a matter of what the inputs are, but when they're put in to cancel animations.

Play as a grappler if you aren't already playing one. I find full-circles much easier to do than quarter-circles. It's impossible to screw up and do a Shoryuken caused by an 'itchy' thumb/wrist, not to mention the time open for cancels is usually bigger.

Online fighters. There's nothing like a kid picking the most ultra high tier character, raping the hell out of a cheap tactic and: - they still lose and send you some hate filled message about how you are a noob and a [derogatory term for homosexuals] and a [derogatory term for african-americans] - disconnecting their connection before they can officially lose a match - winning and they send you some hate filled message about how you are a noob and a [derogatory term for homosexuals] and a [derogatory term for african-americans] The magic of XBL...

MW2 can make me rage quite easily.. it's mostly the knife crap. Getting knifed when you're sure you knifed first, somehow missing even though the person is right in front of you, or someone teleporting 20ft with commando and knifing you. Everything else I can deal with :)

I almost smashed my [F-Word Here] TV this morning when I was playing Gears 2 online in a no-respawn game mode called Execition. My team was tied at 4 with the other team (first to five wins). Throughout the entire match, the other guys were smack talking and accusing me of being host despite the fact that I had all the symptoms of playing off host. So they started off the final round good and wiped out almost half our team. The three of us remained in a clique nearthe Torque Bowspawn (power weapon) on Ruins. We destroyed two of these guys andI superman'd (got a headshot on him midroll) the guy on the other team who was talking the most trash. Three seconds later I'm frozen, we all get disconnected from the match and the "Lost Connection to Host" message pops up. (This means the host quit)

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!

Red Faction Guerrilla recently has topped my list of 'games that make me pull my hair out'. Stupid EDF cops respawning while I'm trying to blow up their buildings. You'd think after I've killed like 50 of them, they'd get smart and not mess with me? Then I die and have to do the mission all over again...AND IT'S A SIDE MISSION. The whole time I've got a Red Faction moron screaming in my ear about something else going on like a convoy every 5 minutes.

Use tactical...knifing and noobtubingare the only things I simply cannot stand in this game. I cant believe that nothing registers in Infinity Ward's heads. There's nothing cool about a guy lunging at you from a distance of 7 feet, sticking his butter knife into you and killing you despite getting shot at by a big-ass NATO round.

MW2, people using heartbeat sensors ( it's made especially annoying in HardcoreS&D) and using noobtubes to shoot across the map at the spawn point. I mean come on, I like the general gameplay mechanics but these things are really annoying.

They should be excluded or limited. I recommend theyreduce the range in which the noobtube can be fired or limit it's capacity to one grenade like they did with the claymore:roll: or reduce the spash damage. And with the heartbeat sensor they shouldomit it entirely or atleast make it a perk not an attachment. They should treat the heartbeat sensor as a secondary item (like the C4) you'll have to switch to in order to ultilise it so thatit and your weaponscan't be used simultenously.

Not even in Ninja Gaiden games could I ever be this mad. In fact, it's nowhere near as irritating for that matter.

Lately Bad Company 2 has been making me rage. I love the game. I love playing online. But I get whored SO much on that game. Whether it people people that are camping, people that are spawn killing, or people spamming mortar strikes, it pisses me off. It's more so a case of my team sucking though. I've won games against people pulling those tactics with a halfway decent team. When everyone's just running around getting owned and afraid to go disarm objectives THOSE are the games where I could end up going 5 and 20.

Still, no one rages harder at that game than my friend Matt. We always squad up and half the time he's angry / yelling on the mic, haha. It's usually "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" "That's BULL****!" and something about how he keeps getting dicked over, hahaha.

Online: CoD, any of them. There is so much lag induced inconsistencies that it can be very frustrating

Campaign: Heavenly Sword, The combat often seemed iffy to me, and the QTE was so fast it could make me hot-headed enough for my hair to catch on fire.

It was hell finishing the game through veteran, and given the end result, it wasn't worth the trouble whatsoever.

I remember I had to cheat on the final level to get past the last section of mutants. The trick was to move a chair in an armory all the way to a door that closed normally after you crossed it, so that way I could replenish armor and ammo. But overall the mutants where fairly difficult you just had to "backpedal" to a safe distance and they would just run instead of jump.

Last year I played it and finished it fairly easily without rages. I even managed to get past the last mutant wave without cheating, probably the problem was more how I was trying to play it like an average corridor shooter, and it was also awesome because I discovered paths and sections of levels I never knew existed.

Street fighter, of course. My friend literally called me 10 minutes ago saying he had SuperSf4. Oh boy..

Mgo(metal gear online). Quite a few things get on my nerves, that only a fellow mgo player would understand.

And of course...Halo 3 online. Soon to be reach, Im sure.

It's a known fact that Super Smash Bros games start more potential brawls/fights than any other game. When you have the ego's of 4 similarly killed individuals clashing against each other while sitting and playing in a single room, things can get ugly.

Midnight Club LA... I swear to god the AI in that game has no mercy... It pisses me off so much that I can't finish that god forbidden game-_- which IS STILL AWESOME!

I mean as if the AI wasn't enough, it's an open world racer with traffic... Jesus=/
