Uncharted is great but Halo revolutionized Console FPS. In fact, I'd say, it's the only Console exclusive franchise that kept Console FPS alive with consistent releases all these years.
Halo for sure, playing through the MCC this last year before Halo 5 released made me realize just how much I still love these games. Though, I don't really think of Halo as as an original trilogy and write off everything after, not like Alien(s) or Indiana Jones or Star Wars. Anyhow, gonna get cracking on revisiting the Uncharted collection soon, to get psyched for Uncharted 4.
I don't like either, but I can understand the appeal of Halo. It's nearly impossible for me to understand the appeal of Uncharted. At least to a person who's been gaming for more than 1 to 2 years.
I haven't played enough of Halo 2 or 3 to comment on them, but I'd take Combat Evolved alone over the UC trilogy. For console shooters, that game was truly the full package.
Even at its highest point (UC2), Uncharted is just good. Not great, certainly not amazing. Just good.
I never played an Uncharted game but to me this looks like apples and oranges. I think the comparison with Tomb Raider works best with Uncharted, both 3rd person action/adventure games.
Single player, Uncharted without question. Halo 1-3 has some really crappy and lame campaigns. Uncharted on the other hand has some of the best campaigns around.
Multiplayer, Halo. It pretty much created online gaming on consoles. I mean online gaming had been done before but Halo made it popular and a must have.
I'd personally take Halo over Uncharted, but they are both good series. Halo did a lot more to revolutionize its genre on consoles while Uncharted 2 perfected an established formula of play a set piece, transition to a cutscene, and right back into another set piece which helped move the story along quite well.
Overall, I'm happy they both exist.
Better in what sense? They are 2 completely different type of games and series for the most part so how do you compare LOL. It's all about that person's preference.
Uncharted is fun, Halo is not.
Uncharted for me.
Why did you buy the master chief collection then if it isn't fun LOL.

because I wanted to try out Halo?
I enjoyed Uncharted more than Halo. Halo was a painful experience when I made it too the library. However, the first half of the game was gaming bliss. Its undeniable how awesome missions 2,3,4 and 5 were. Now when it came to the sequels UC2 was simply awesome. The same was with Halo 2 but that ending was garbage. Then we move on to 3 and UC3 was terrible while Halo 3 was awesome. So, Halo wins in that regards. Now if you bundled Halo 5 which is the most regretful purchase of a Halo game then things would change. But to be fair Halo 5 multiplayer is great but that single player.......
Halo. It's the better built game.
Uncharted 3 is the best Uncharted.
Uncharted 3 better than 2? Are you daft man?

Yeah that part really did suck. There is a similar and arguably worse level in Halo 3. By similar I mean repetitive enemies, confusing lay-out, dragged on firefights, terrible pace and length.

I believe you. Its been a while since I have played 3.
Halo ... and I don't even like Halo.
Uncharted 1 was a mediocre game at best...
UC2 was the height (perhaps not now due to 4.) .. but that was just UC1 with better set pieces and graphics... the multiplayer sucked and died its deserved death, same with UC3.
Halo managed good campaigns and for the time, the only good console multiplayer experience... Uncharted is not on the same level ... on desperate system wars cows think this to with "SW meta" ...
I would say I put more time in Halo, tbh, so Halo wins....but Halo's been around longer. It's an unfair comparison, much like comparing Street Fighter to Halo for me, as I would then vote for Street Fighter based on the amount of hours spent on those SF games.

It helps that the new two new TR games were inspired by Naughty Dog gameplay as well (Uncharted 2/The Last of Us).
Here's the latest scores for the most recent TR and Uncharted game.
86/100 = http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-one/rise-of-the-tomb-raider
94/100 = http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/uncharted-4-a-thiefs-end
The last four Naughty Dog games got the coveted 90+ mark at metacritic, Crystal Dynamics have yet to make a 90+ metascoring TR however. I do agree the Halo comparison is odd.
I love uncharted, but Halo franchise has been more consistent.
Halo 1 is a masterpiece, while Uncharted 1 was just a "meh, nice but could be better" type of game. Overall Halo franchise
Now if we include H4 and H5, and Uncharted 4 delivers, then Uncharted will have the upper hand overall

I think this is the fairest assessment of the two games, and it defines the motives behind the designs of both games.
I don't care if Uncharted has multiplayer now, and I also don't care if it might be pretty good - because Uncharted has started off as a single-player experience and it always has kept it as the centerpiece of appeal for why people should buy the games at all.
Halo on the other hand, has always had its appeal off its robust multiplayer that not only was solid but set the standard for online multiplayer.
Uncharted for the single player and Halo for the multiplayer.
