Which is more important MGS4 or GeoW 2 for the console It's on

I think MGS4 is much more important than Geow 2 for it's console. It's the last MGS game and will help push consoles. It already was able to sell out the limited edition bundle it will definently sell consoles. I don't see GeoW2(not saying it's bad because first was GREAT) selling systems because it's on the same console. If it was on the original xbox and the sequel came out on 360.... MANNNNN that game would be pushing Halo numbers. But yea i don't think geow 2 is more important than MGS4 because we all know there will be a GeoW 3. Geow 2 is important though because there isn't many great games coming out for 360 compared to ps3.

I don't know. Sony needs something that will kick start software sales. There hardware is selling good enough. Software isn't though. In the US the PS3 has only been able to support one game in the top ten for the past like 5 months. And even then its usually like #8 or lower. In Japan they barely get two games in the Top 30. Major massive huge games that are sequels to franchises that are up there in numbers (ie Devil May Cry 4) chart well, but those are usually the only PS3 games on the chart. MGS4 will surely chart well, but will it be the only game in the Top 30 for Japan? Will it be the only game in the Top 10 for the US?

Who knows, but I think game quality has little to do with it because the PS3 has some good multiplats and exclusives. Its just game sales.

I'd actually go with Gears though. The 360 is getting old, if Gears 2 is as fun as the first and better looking than the first, it will show alot of people that the 360 isn't some old man system that can't learn new tricks or that its tech is stuck in the mud.

I'd like to disagree with you strongly on that. It has good games right now...but not games that are fantastic according to sw rules aka AAAE
