Paper Mario will probably garner the most votes because:
1. Hipsters.
2. It was the first one.
3. People are more familiar with the Mario-esque environments encountered within, which has a psychological effect of pleasentness (which explains why white people prefer white people, so they may be racist, too). I am a psychology major (I also play ultimate frisbee), so I know these things. If you any psychological questions, feel free to message me.
4. It is simpler than Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which in this case, will mean it's better as it fits their bias. Watch out for the word "charm" and "personality" a bit a million times, despite the middle two containing most of it.
Anyway, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door because of these things:
1. A well-developed storyline (I'm going to leave this vague so I can act like I'm right without having to explain it).
2. Most intricate combat system. It's an obvious improvement over the original one. Bonking somebody's head is simple. The sticker system can be easily manipulated.
3. It's the longest one with the most content, with that board in Rougeport offering services (services as in actual well-meaning decent jobs, not prostitution).
4. Most humurous. It has more than tongue-in-cheek humor and some cultural references to boot.
5. Ms. Mowz.
6. Everything else. I'm tired of typing.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is easily the best. Paper Mario and Super Paper Mario are close, but Paper Mario: Sticker Star is far behind because of how stripped it feels.
In before someone gets mad that I said Nintendo games are kiddy and that Call of Duty is the best thing ever because they take everything seriously and thought I was being serious. But I really am a psychology major. I lied about being an ultimate frisbee "player," though... I'm actually the captain. Yup, you caught me. :P
