Poll Which is the worst Sony franchise? (63 votes)
I have a bad tooth for Everybody's golf

Resistance series for sure. I only like Resistance 2 but that's about it.
Edit: Dang, you got 5 Karma! What the hell man?
IMO 2 is the worst. its the most generic. 3 was the best. survival horror campaign was good
Resistance 2 improved on a lot of fronts, but I really didn't like the major gameplay change, I can admit that. I enjoyed the health bar and the weapon wheel a lot, it's the only good Resistance game because of the boss battles, and the level design is better than 1 and 3.
@davillain-: Resistance 1 wipes the floor with #2. 2 wasn't bad but it was a big downgrade from the first game. The boss fights could have been fun but you could tell the game was rushed so the mechanics weren't all that great and it was trying to hard to be Gears of War.
Knack easily. The other franchises listed are pretty decent. I find Resistance to be meh though. First game was brilliant, second game had shitty SP but the co-op was fantastic, and third game was trash to me.
I probably disliked Resistance the most, though there's other games I probably had no interest in playing that I'd probably like less quite inherently, like GT for instance, not a fan of circuit racing sims but I won't fault the game for my preferences, I particularly disliked Resistance because it couldn't be what I wanted it to be, a gritty alien invasion shooter for base gratification, but it couldn't even give me that, it just felt lower quality, rushed, incomplete, playing it wasn't fun and felt like a chore. Maybe going from playing Gears first did me a disservice, maybe the reviews calling it Gears' close equal on PS3 also didn't manage my expectations. I assumed maybe it was a rush finish that was the reason I disliked it, so I gave the sequel a chance since many claimed it was a big improvement, but even there seemed to have a huge disconnect with everyone else on this. Not that don't think the developers aren't talented, maybe there hearts weren't in it, I dunno. But yeah, didn't care for this series, I wanted to but couldn't. I didn't bother with third game, I felt I'd been duped twice already and I wasn't going back for thirds, I'd learned by then Sony fanboys could tout a shit sandwich as a gourmet meal. The PS3 had good exclusives but they got praised just as much as the bad ones sometimes, but sometimes even good games got ignored. I wish people put as much energy into propping up the Motorstorm series, imagine what they could have done with the series on the PS4.
Maybe the one game I didn't play that seemed like a waste of time, no for me but for even trying, was all those people begging for a PlayStation version of Super Smash Bros and we got that PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale, and nobody bothered to get it even though an incessant campaign of begging for it took place across gaming forums. Seemed like a bad idea on several grounds. I mean, something about charming age appropriate Nintendo characters mercilessly beating the shit out of each other just had that certain something-something that can't be replicated with Sony's cast of characters.
@mclarenmaster18: Fat Princess is pretty good, at least the first game was. Knack just sucks tho’.
Ratchet and Clank. They were very mediocre games and still are. Nothing to recommend them as platformers.
Sony had a chance to make the series better on current gen, but they chose just to repeat the old rubbish formula. Shame.
I'll probably vote for Killzone. Haven't played Knack.
I did think KZ2 was pretty good when it was released, but I went and replayed it a couple years back - was almost unplayable. I also really hated 3 played it when it came out. Shadow Fall was meh as well.
As for Resistance, 1 was a great launch game and held up pretty well the last time i played it. 2 and 3 are both inferior for various reasons imo.
Probably Killzone. It literally felt like a graphics showcase and the gameplay and story were a mess. Never played Knack but based on reviews, it would probably be there too.
I seriously can't choose. The whole list is so freaking beige.
Twisted Metal can probably be fun.
Sly and Jak & Daxter can probably be fun sometimes.
Horizon could maybe be fun for a bit?
The rest is shallow junk I have zero interest in. I mean, I'm not interested in those ^ either, but they seem to suck the least.
Has to be Uncharted. It's the driving force behind the movie game genre.
I think you'll find that's MGS2 with it's endless cut scenes.... but we get it... you hate Uncharted.

The MGS series pioneered the concept of movie games, but Uncharted is the current engine behind it.
