Which is you Favourite RPG? (this GEN only).

In your OPINION which RPG this gen is the the best? It can be a WRPG and a JRPG and has to be from this GEN only!

If the game is on a last gen system and a system from this gen, that counts to. I.e. Persona 3.

Also, games like Pokemon count as RPG.

For me it has to be a tie between Crisis Core and The World Ends With You. They both have:

-Awesome graphics.

-Fun and Addicting gameplay.

-interesting stories with Great characters.

Well the only RPG I've played it Oblivion so I guess Oblivion?

Plan on buying Dragon Age though and possibly Mass Effect 1 and 2.

• hate roguelikes
• don't like difficult games
• don't like the throw back graphics

I've played tons such as Fable II, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins (All are awesome), but my favourite so far would be Lost Odyssey. The others may have had better gameplay, but after I have played them all, Lost Odyssey stands out as one I remember. It's the blend of the story, characters, awesome visuals (not graphically speaking, more artistically) & the short stories/dreams which are just so awesome.

With that said, I still have Tales of Vesperia & Eternal Sonata untouched waiting to be played as soon as I have 100% my character in Mass Effect ready to be transfered to ME2.

That's what I came up with, Star Ocean TLH was second behind Vesperia, I just like the storyline in Vesperia better.

The Witcher is the only RPG that was compelling enough for me this generation. Dragon Age was close though.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope. No matter how much hate it seems to gather, this game was the best in the series.

• Battle system was addicting and fun with new innovations
• Tons of sidequest and fun boss battles
• Huge environments and lush planets to explore
• Great item creation system and etc

List is missing big ones, but than again with only 5 options its hard to list them all: thats what the "other" option is for.

Mass Effect, followed closely by Dragon Age: Origins.

Come on dude, this is a best of the gen list and you put Pokemon there over Dragon Age and The Witcher? Weaksauce.

Picked M.E. but only because Mass Effect 2 wasn't an option. Also as other, I'll vote Lost Odyssey in as well. :P

Fallout 3 is may favourite followed by Obivion which was fantastic when it came out but hasn't aged at all well, Dragon age is good but I haven't played in in weeks and I'm trying to complete Mass Effect before the sequel comes out, I've owned it twice before but never really got into it.

Well out of those choices I would say Pokemon Diamond since it provided the most gameplay time and thus is my favorite role playing game this generation. The best role playing game out of those games on that list however is Mass Effect, while to me Demons Soul's is the overall best role playing game this generation.

Demons Soul is amazing but I dont consider it a rpg, just like I dont consider SIMS3 a strategy game.
