Hello friends,

Robocop the game turn out to be great. not masterpiece. but excellent AA game. the shooting is amazing and setting nail robocop. finally we get a good robocop game resemble 80s movie.

so which next game they should made? Im going with Die hard the game. they have very much improved from Rambo and Terminator which consider among worst games of all time. gone from that to Robocop is achivement.

Want to see Die hard game based on very first movie set in nakatomi plaza.

so which 80s movie game they should made next? lets discuss.

Funny seeing Terminator Resistance so initially reviewed so low yet despite that Teyon built an appreciative audience that went straight out to buy RoboCop.

Anyhow, what 80s film should they tackle next?

I'll go with Escape From New York.

None, have some creativity and create your own game, stop looking for franchises to try and make a dollar off.

I'm all in for a Die Hard game! Being alone in a huge building, trying to take down the baddies while crawling through air ducts and shit, would be so epic. And I agree, Aliens and Predator would be sick games too. The 80s was just an awesome time for action movies and games, man. I hope they keep knocking them out of the park like they did with Robocop.

Die Hard. Would be pretty cool to work your way through a tower full of evil mercenaries.

Aliens (give us the Colonial Marines we deserve!). Would be perfect, though doubtful because the Aliens IP is too precious to hand out to a B-tier developer (I don't mean B-tier to be critical, just saying Teyon is "bargain bin" quality)

They Live. You don't have to be one of the main characters of the film, maybe someone that's likewise just figured out what is going on and you get to go on a Postal-style rampage except it's justified because they're monsters.

Escape from New York: any Snake Pliskin-themed game would work, really, it doesn't have to be New York specifically. Just the general setting.

The Running Man. You wouldn't need to be Arnold's character, you could be just any ol' contestant. Would be great, could fight your way through trash mobs then face down various bosses. Showgunner did this really well.

Invasion USA: play a one-man army fighting off an invasion, Chuck Norris style.

Haha my man, beat me to it!

*Speaking off, did you ever play Far Cry Blood Dragon? It's about as close as we can get to a game like that. A bit more cyberpunk/sci-fi than dystopia but it scratches that same itch of corny 80's action.

@mrbojangles25: Die Hard's already been done and for the time done exceptionally well. Do you remember Die Hard trilogy?

3 games in 1

Die Hard 1 3rd person shooter, you're in the Nakatomi building fighting bad guys and advance up the tower one level at a time.

Die Hard 2 was the airport and a light phaser shooting game.

Die Hard 3 was a driving game where you have to get to each point around the city to stop the bombs from going off.

All in the one package it was brilliant.

@mrbojangles25: I was thinking Running Man too, though I've never fully seen it, from my understanding it was the inspiration to Smash TV so I can see lot of potential there

I would not mind a Total Recall game based on the original movie. Include 2 games covering both movies if short on content.

NES had a Total Recall game; I rented it.

Rambo: The movie: The game: The remake.

In all honesty give them Star Wars, I want a good shooter based on Star Wars.

Didn't they already do a game based on Espace From New York? It's called Metal Gear Solid.

Ooh, I'd love that! Gremlins 2 for the NES was a weirdly awesome game, with one of the best OSTs ever.

But really, there's too much. The 80's was awesome.

Definitely the Running Man.... It basically already is a video game. I'd love to play a telling of that movie in video game form... When I was a kid it was smash TV!

Actually a lot of Arnold movies I wouldn't mind... A total recall game or Commando would be super awesome.

I think everyone's choices here are solid picks, but my vote has to go to one of my favorite movies: Big Trouble in Little China.

Id like to see them throw more money at another Robocop game, make it open world this time and give you the ability to scan for suspects through walls like Robo does in the movie. Rogue City was fun and probably my favourite Rogocop game, but pretty much everything about it seemed low budget.

I cant think of a popular 80s movie that hasnt already been done, its been a while since weve seen a Die Hard game and its been never since wev seen one thats actualyl good, but I dont see how DIe Hard would translate that well into a game without making it another COD style shooter. I havent seen a Highlander game since the Amstrad CPC days, another one of those could be good.

Die hard can be old school violent gory based shooter like robo cop. with faster movement since robocop walk slow (but still too fast for robocop). Die hard definitely work as B movie game with gore and shootouts.

Hot Shots!

Nah, I am just kidding. These movie games rarely turn out well, but if a developer actually manages to produce a decent game, I am all in for Escape from New York and the other suggestions in this thread.

I actually enjoyed Terminator Salvation a lot, and Die Hard Trilogy was awesome.

I've been thinking about an Escape from New York game for a while. I was thinking the US is flooded, so either somewhere like Colorado with high elevation, or somewhere like New Orleans with super levees. Nola would also give you cool music, atmosphere and varied gangs (Creole, voodoo, etc?). Would be really neat sneaking through all that.
