What ever offers the best exclusives and Sony has me chained in terms of console exclusives since PS2.

but your PC is not next gen , but current gen in best case , most probably last gen :PI personally am really interested what new Playstations comes up with. Hope the rumors about built in kinect-like device are false, Playstation should be the one console that forfeits all gimmicks and sticks to the conservative harcore gaming platform image.
Anyway - according to rumors it seems Wii U and nextbox will be about on par in terms of graphical capabilities but Wii U has the treasured Nintendo franchises and a screen on controller, as well as a head start, so I chose Wii U at this point in time.
Cannot yet decide, It may be the fist gen that I buy no consoles.Inconsistancy
i said that bout this gen when i mostly gamed on PC last gen, then there was a massive role reversal all down to CoD 4 and Uncharted 1 damn those bloody games and my mates and the split screen CoD4 :(
the only thing that matters is the games,
and Nintendo is guarantied to have the best game released next gen, just like every gen. So inorder to play the best game, i need to buy a Nintendo console.
As for the others, im almost certain i wont buy a nextbox and i will probably buy a PS4 much later in the race, whenever team Ico release their new game, or they get something worth buying for.
Only Sony can guarantee amazing first party games + tons of third party support. Plus great media capabilities. Nintendo has been fail for 2/3 generations now. Microsoft only tryhards the first year or 2 then abandons core gamers every time. They did it last gen, they did it this gen. Why take unnecessary risks? Just go with Sony. It's a sure thing.
Which next gen console will you buy?

Based on the abundance of information available for these consoles?
I'm still weighing my options.
The one offering the biggest bang for the buck though I'm betting that will once again be the MS console. :P

Oh the irony of this post :P the irony that you just got done saying the original xbox abandoned its core userbase some how...with loads of core games released before its eventual discontinuation because of nvidia screw over...The one offering the biggest bang for the buck though I'm betting that will once again be the MS console. :P
Oh the irony of this post :P the irony that you just got done saying the original xbox abandoned its core userbase some how...with loads of core games released before its eventual discontinuation because of nvidia screw over... Fact is the original Xbox had like less then half of the lifespan of it's rival the PS2. Another fact is the 360 has lost all serious core gaming support by microsoft years ago. Those are facts. It's become a Microsoft trade mark to abandon core gaming half way through each generation, one way or another.Definitely Wii U and probably the PS4
Because 5th Gen I had N64 and PS1, 6th Gen I had GCN and PS2, 7th Gen I have Wii and PS3, and for the 8th Gen I will have a Wii U and PS4.
I still own a Wii and found the xbox360 and PS3 massively dissapointing.
So next gen I'll be sticking to the PC as my next gen gaming platform, but I might pick up a WiiU once it drops in price. Mostly for Zelda.

why would u even buy a 360 when you have a pc

Yeah, I imagine it will have like 100 kinect-style titles within the first couple of years, a lot of good.. value.. there. ;)
I didnt vote cause as of now, well as of months ago, im done keeping up with gaming. Too burnt out...BUT and this is a big BUT...IF nin will release a console with a NORMAL CONTROLLER I will probably just go nin next gen. Ive had my fill of FPS and debating back and forth about MS vs SONY..Everyone seems to leave NIN out of the arguing so that might be my safe bet.

Eh, your crystal ball may need a check up as it seemed to leave out some info mah magic 8 ball told me... Yes, those 100 kinect titles ALONG with a 100 core titles soooo, perhaps using both a crystal ball in combination with a magic 8 ball gives the flawless prediction of future events :oA lot of Great ... Value .. there.. no doubt. Just sayin.

Well don't hold me to this because it's so early to think about this topic. But for now, I'm gonna say a PS4. For one big reason. I am in love with Sony's first party software. The PS2 had exclusives I craved, and the PS3's exclusives are turning out to be some of my favorite games ever.
Develops like Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Sony Japan, Sony Santa Monica are a couple of my favorite developers. As much as I love their current IP's this gen, I know that they all are probably going to make new great IP's. So for that I am stoked.
The one caveat is how Sony handles its launch. I was a dedicated little teenage PS2 fanboy, who only wanted a PS3 in 2006. Awful pricing, awful games, made me buy a 360 which I did love. So I know Microsoft is going to make a good console to because the 360 has a lot of great features, online and core games. If Sony botches launch, I'll buy an Xbox 720 first, and then the eventual PS4 Slim. If not, then I'll be a PS4 early adopter.
(And I'm praying for a Jak 4 teaser trailer whenever the PS4 gets announced lol.)
