Out of those...none...even GEOW3 is just what it is, a bro shooter, but i don't see how would it be immature, it's corny but not immature.

The other 2, well...of course they are not immature and we shouldn't even try to explain why.

GTA 5 - it's corny because you get gangsta wannabe's on microphone acting tough man, talking about slinging crack and bustin' guns in real life, when most sound like geeks that are still living at home with mother, who's shouting in the background.

The game that is the most immature at it's core would be Kirby. However, the game that brings out the most immaturity out of an older crowd is undoubtedly games like Gears of War and Call of Duty. Pick your poison.

I consider children to be immature as they are not fully developed, annoying and are easy to please. Sounds like Nintendo and its fans are the immature ones.

There's nothing inherently immature about designing characters to be super masculine, and ultra-violent, nor cartoony and colorful. Only the content behind them should be considered in the argument, but since you didn't mention what the content of either type of game is then I have to go with the third option by default.

With that said though. Pretentious stories are pretty bad. Usually written by young hipsters who think they they're wise, and understanding of the world around them, but whose worst experience in the last week was a Starbucks barista spelling their name wrong on their cup.....

I generally find games that attempt to show the developer's/publisher's political leanings are pretty immature - especially if they're actually just truing to attract gamers who are younger and less thoughtful.

Also, "hyper masculine" isn't immature, or…a meaningful term.

I would say option 3.

There's really nothing inherently "immature" about a cartoon themed game. It's just the art direction and it's intended to convey a mood and atmosphere separate from other action games. No fault there.

And even action heavy games are usually honest about the intent of the game experience they want to deliver their players.

It's when a poorly scripted game is falsely trying to be something it's clearly not, (false pretense as it were) that I would say is immature.

And guys, I don't think the TC is meaning any specific games, as the poll shows, but rather game types. It's just a poor wording in the topic title.

The third option isn't necessarily immature. It's up its own ass. There is a difference.

The first 2 would be immature in nature, but usually the former is a little bit more offensive. Option 2 can be endearing and charming and all that disney magic stuff, but the first is either meat head funny(which is good) or insufferably stupid.

Never played the Kirby or Gears game, so I can't say. Didn't see anything immature about Bioshock though.

Dude bro. Mostly because young kids think they're cool and yet... they're shit. Also, making a game cartoony isn't inherently immature. A game can be cartoony and still be mature.

Of course, the issue is what we mean by mature, because there are very few games that I've played that are actually such. I'd say the most mature game I've ever played is Majora's Mask, and that game's rated E.
