Oh look the combined line up of 3 gaming systems is better than the lineup of one gaming system on it's own.

Who would have thought?

thriteenthmonke

It's just the lineup of games that either cost money to produce or are hardcore, versus, casual games or games that are cheap to produce. The top list is made up of multiplatform games and exclusiveswhile the bottom list is not just 1 gaming system, its 2. Kind of like saying would you rather see the Wii win or the PS3 &/or 360?

It's Ninty vs everything else. If you don't call that bias I don't know what is. Not to mention you seem to think just because a game is on the DS or Wii it's automatically casual.

Because List Y is laughable in comparison.

If you want list X to win, then it will be okay if PS3 or 360 wins because those games will continue to be made for them in the vision they were destined to made in. If you want list Y to win you want a future of games from Nintendo and 3rd parties to have to follow suit.

You only find it unfair because Nintendo consoles primarily make Nintendo money and the good games are primarily only from Nintendo. Whereas on PS3 & 360 its completely different. The list is not 3 vs 1, its 1market vs 1 market.

Ok then lets add in this little tidbit.

Cost to play games in list "X", $2000+ (360+PS3+PC+upgrades+possible PS4+possible Xbox 3)

Cost to play games in list "Y" ~$800 (Wii+DS+DS2/new gameboy+Wii 2).

If you really think this is 3 vs 1, you're mistaken. It's 1 market vs 1 other market. The first market can still exist on one 1 console, thus its not 3, when it comes down to the fundamentals it is 1.

Why pick just one list? Both lists have potentially great games on them (and if you're going to buy three gaming systems, you can afford to buy the cheapest system, too).

How much will the Dual Shock 3 be? Rechargeable batteries..FTW (whats the battery life on the DS3 gonna be?). Wii does not need memory cards. Wii has built-in WiFi. The price of VC game is totally subjective. The Wii hasnt been out a year and you want a Player's Choice line. The PS3 hasnt one either, nor 360.

Slashkice

...why are you counting fourteen PS3 controllers? I know you're trying to make that list seem as expensive as possible, but come on now, fourteen?

Anyways, price isn't arguable; the Wii and DS are the cheapest systems out right now.

And for the love, the Wii has WiFi built in

I can't believe I am about to say this, but I would rather have list Y.

Ok, hear me out on this. Look over List X and Y again. Notice how the majority of games on those lists are games that haven't even been announced yet. Therefore, since one can't confirm they are in development that gets rid of the majority of both sides. After looking at it that way I could see 2 games on the X list I actually wanted and 3 games on the Y list I wanted. Also, I think this is the most ridiculous comparison in history. I don't know what kind of point you were trying to make but its pretty pathetic that not only did you have to combine 4 different systems to try and make nintendo look bad but the majority of both sides aren't even being made. . .

Now that I think about it, List X appeals to me slightly more than List Y (by 1 game - ignoring casual crap that I'd probably buy anyway, like Elder Scrolls V). So I guess List X gets my vote.

*Edit* Oh, and if we're counting games that will actually exist...it's roughly even.

You don't need a Wifi adapter for 360. Most people don't have wireless internet, so most people are paying for a Wifi adapter for Wii and not for 360. 360 controllers are often being sold for $40 and XBL 13 month cards are often sold for $40 or less. PS3 is available for $499 and soon for even lower. Why would anyone need 7 PS3 controllers AND also 7 Dualshock 3 controllers, that's ridiculous. Blue tooth headsets only cost $50 if you're going for the best you can get. You don't need to spend $4000 on an Alienware PC to play current PC games. You could spend as little as $400 to play them. You would also not have to buy 2 CPU upgrades and 2 GPU upgrades, and that is even more ridiculous given that you said people need a $4000 PC to begin with. Same goes for the 2 RAM upgrades. Your post is beyond ridiculous. And if a person waits the price of the 360 & PS3 will come much closer to the price of a Wii.

Dual Shock 3 will probably be the same price as the Sixaxis. Have fun with buying 3rd party rechargeable batteries that will have their lifetime charges die out much sooner than the batteries for PS3 & especially 360. Wii does need memory cards if you want to actually buy a decent amount of games, especially neo geo & n64 games. Unless you don't mind deleting your games and redownloading them all the time. Funny that you find VC game prices to be a better value than PS3 or 360 DL game prices. Most of the games on the VC can be bought in a hard copy for much cheaper. I did not say I wanted a Players Choice line, obviously you didn't know that Nintendo announced they no longer plan to have one anymore... 360 does have one lol, its called Platinum Hits... And PS3 will very likely continue their Greatest Hits, they have already done so for PSP while Nintendo has not for DS... FAIL REVERSED...

I listed games that have not been announced yet to illustrate the types of games we will see for each list. To be different than just asking about games that are currently out, I'm trying to illustrate what the future will be like depending on if Wii & DS sell the most software or if 360, PS3, or PC do so. It's not 3 vs 1, its 1 market vs 1 market. Nintendo is going for 1 market, casual, minigames, games designed to appeal to the whole family, while PS3, 360, & PC are going for 1 market, hardcore games, games with depth, games with cinematics, great stories, and high production values. PS3, 360, or PC can provide this market even if only one of them succeeds, does best, that is why its 1 market. To think its merely 3 vs 1 is to ignore this fact.

Wii has built in Wifi....need to do some research buddy? Most people do have wireless internet in todays world, if you haven't noticed. Way more people buy WiFi adaptors for the 360 than anyothers, since it's the ony one without built in WiFi....damn even the DS has that. And don't lable me a crazy sheep, I got a 360 as well 8)

The PC, 360, and PS3 libraries versus the Wii library. Hmmm, I wonder which could possibly be better.

actually add tales of symphonia two to the second list and ill choose it. i can actually live on just my wii and pc alone. but i choose to have a 360 just in case. hoping i can get halo 3 tomorrow. but so many games on the top list i dont like or dont play.

o you added pc to the top list? i dont know but if you did this is retarted. so you want to take all games not on the wii and compare it to the wii's line up? at least make 4 lists.

To think its merely 3 vs 1 is to ignore this fact.joeamis

Just stop. It doesn't work that way. Please, stop. I beg you to stop.

So computer and micorsoft, and sony, a list where you actually tried to make good, vs. Nintendo, a list that you wanted to sound crappy.

Are fanboys that desperate to bash Nintendo?

[QUOTE="joeamis"]I listed games that have not been announced yet to illustrate the types of games we will see for each list. people will just adapt either way. they will stop playing games or find good things about the games they get. and some of those sequels may still come out on a wii system. and of course dont forget many new ip's. i think even if the market goes casual, hardcore will soon pick up as many casuals start craving something more challenging. or just something different which may be something "hardcore" in the end.

Y for sure because SSB 4 has to be at least 5 years away and most likely on a next gen console so would not want to be 5 years ahead of everyone else. Also you went PC,PS3,and Xbox 360 all VS Nintendo what is that?

Halo = Generic MP shooting game.

Bioshock and MP3 = Thinking mans shooters 8)

Shadow_op

Perfectly said, right on target.

Thing is, GS only seems to be looking towards mp anymore and less towards thinking man's games, and GS's review staff has some people that are clearly biased towards 360.

Lets face it, Prime 3 had at least as much differential with the previous Prime games (in a positive way) as Halo 3 did with its previous (the video review supposedly shows Halo 3's strengths over previous but it just looks like a souped up Halo 2), but while Prime 3 was marked down, Halo 3 got kudos from the reviewer.

This is why I'm likely switching my time over to a less biased site, the bias is so obvious here anymore, not to mention the .5 increment rating system was a step in the wrong direction.

[QUOTE="joeamis"]Most people don't have wireless internet, so most people are paying for a Wifi adapter for Wii and not for 360.Shadow_op

HELLOOOOO. If you had actually read what I've typed in this thread you would know that I was talking about the fact that Wii has Wifi and not a wired broaband connection, therefore needing a Wifi adapter for those that are not wireless. Most people do NOT have wireless internet. While Reggie likes to claim that 50% have Wifi, real studies on this reveal only 19% of people have a wireless network in their home. So ya I'm the one who needs to research, @#$))@#... Oh ya, Proof: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP_Wireless.Use.pdf
