Which of these games has the best chance to tie (beat?) 9.5 ? ***POLL***

Try to make an educated guess from all you've seen and read, and put any fanboyism aside, which do you honestly think will get the highest score at GS?

IGN's score can be the tiebreaker ;), in case 2 games tie for highest score here.

My guess goes to Mass Effect. I don't think any of these will get less than 8.0.

Reviews are beginning to come in:

Halo 3 = 9.5 (GS), 9.5 (IGN Tiebreaker)

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of those games get a 10. GS has set itself up for the perfect score since it has been so long since they have had one. It's a big deal, and it's guaranteed to generate traffic flow over the holidays here (their biggest season, as well, I'm sure).

I half-way expect one 10 in 2007, but there will be at least two 9.5s in my opinion.

crysis, its the next potential 10 coming out, they are doing so much and pushing reaism in graphics and physics to new limits :D

Hellgate's being shutout despite being developed by a team headed by Diablo 2's Bill Roper.

Probably its because the other games are so great, but perhaps it has something to do with that controversial pay-to-play option going.

I just hate how alot of people assume that it won't be deserving of it's 9.0+ score if it does score that. It could very well deserve the score...granted most fanboys won't want to think that. Finding a reason is making that assumption that it won't be deserving of the score. We'll see how it turns out though.

I can see all scoring AAA. Lets say Mass Effect though since I have to pick one.

Oops, I gave off the wrong impression.

I meant that they'll find a reason if the game truly isn't good enough for a 9.0. I kinda had doubts about my post ever since submitting it.

I'll still get Halo 3 at some point, so I'm not much of a basher.

I'm thinking just the opposite, that GS wouldn't dare give Halo 3 less than a 9.0, whether it deserves it or not.

I never did give my predictions, so here they are:

Crysis = 8.5

Halo 3 = 9.0 (though Crysis and Mario Galaxy will be at least as good)

Hellgate: London = 8.0 (I will almost certainly get this irregardless, being a Diablo junkie)

Mass Effect = 9.5 (now here's a great game, and deserves the score)

Super Mario Galaxy = 8.5 (theres no getting around it, there isn't much love for the Wii at GS)

Im not too sure about Hell Gate. Same with Mass Effect.

Halo 3 possibly - though compared to other 360 shooters who knows..... It probably does have the upper hand.

Mass Effect for doing something new and different and having a bigger scale. I feel that Crysis will probably be the most amazing gameplay and visually but will be seriously docked for its hardware requirements. Halo3 will be great for those who love Halo, a perfection of the Halo model, but nothing revolutionary, and nothing that will appeal to players who never liked it (aka me or Hermits who have played better fpses). Oh and I call bias on your poll for not including any game coming to PS3, you could have listed UT3.jyoung312

There is no bias on my poll, you'll notice my last one included 2 PS3 games. Its just the way the games laid out, and UT3 is multi-plat anyhow.

This would have been interesting with .1 increments, but now it's just a tie for 9.0agentfred
