Ive had a PSP longer than a DS lite, and the PSP has got more use. Yet the hinge is damaged on the DS and ive lost god knows how many styluses.

Still worth it for the games though

My DS withstood many things. My 1st DS broke by having the screen cracked when I dropped it down the stairs. My DS Lite withstood falling 3 feet on hardwood floor.

DS. The psp seems more prone to scratches on screen, pluss takes alot more place. The weak spot for the DS is the hinge.

What a joke. Ive dropped my DS Lite multiple times and when i dropped my PSP once it broke. If there was a nuclear holocaust and a DS and PSP were sitting outside, the DS would have just a couple scratches on it.

the ds fat is made like a tank mine took a massive beating over time and works fine . my ds light is not stong but is holding its own . my psp busted 3 times cus i had the sheer gold of taking it would with me. it is flawed for a portable you cant see the screen out doors when the sun is out . no cover for the screen gets it marked up easy. the umd drive is filmsy and breaks easy . if you drop it the cover will fly off along with the battory . the battory is not that great psp umd is a failed format pro duo memory cards are unneeded and expensive. the web browser is pretty useles cant even play youtube . what was sony thinking giving the psp a cell phone like text input .

I think Nintendo has already proven to make the most endurable products.

I completely agree. GameBoys were pretty damn near indestructable.

I think Nintendo's products are usually the most durable and always have been.

The original DS is true Nintendo durability, not like the DS Lite.

My DS Phat broke on me because I modded it to use a Slot 2 card to play videos and listen to music, bad idea to be quite honest. I got a white DS Lite but it got stolen, I am now using an Onxy DS Lite which has worked fine for the last several months.

The DS Lite is more durable than the PSP. Clamshell design always is.

One of my friends got pushed into a pool with a Gameboy Color when we were kids, took it home and put a blow dryer to the speaker and the cartridge slot, as well as the game. It was still on when he went into the water, but it still worked after we dried it out, the game data was intact as well. Darn right those things are durable.

I dropped my PSP at least 6 times at standing height, and it still functions properly.

Hmmm, well, I can't say for sure, I've had my PSP since 04, while I had my DS Lite only since May.

So I can really only give a proper evaluation to the PSP, it's worked great since day one, and I don't think I've ever had any problems with it, and the thing has been playeda lot. Only thing that seems to be a problem is the battery doesn't hold like it used to. I'll just have to buy a new one, which is bigger than the stock one too, which I was gonna do anyways.
