PC with headphone and light off. And it's not just scarier. The moods always seem heightened when I'm playing on my pc, close to my monitor than when sitting in the chair across the room from my console and TV.
PC + headphones = :o *shudders* Try Dead Space it's terrifying.clembo1990
Honestly I didn't find Dead Space that scary. Yes I played with headphones, there were some minor scares but for the most part Dead Space wasn't as scary as it seems. Maybe because I played it in the morning :P

I get a sense of terror playing it. Running around, not being able to see the things without completely turning around, and by that point they are so close your heart starts racing.Depends alot more on the game then the system it is playied on...
I think that playing on PC may invote a feeling of isolation honestly ^^ since when I play in the sofa, I still have a feeling of my surroundings (ie. very big livingroom), On PC you kinda are in a smaller area.
PC does not however have a truely scary game... and there is not alot of Modern Console games that suceeds with that.
Mainly because they give us weapons and plenty of ammo nowadays, it is more of a startle, and a pull of the trigger, then feeling scared.
Pc, when your that close to the monitor it adds so much little details. SAGE_OF_FIREPlus the headsets lock you into the game world where you hear every little sound.
