I'm making the same decision right now. I think I'm going psp, at this price, and with the slim, it seems worth it at this point.
DS does look pretty good though, just not as much my thing. I've played both, and the psp is just **** impressive.
NDS will have better longevity than PSP, due to it's popularity and consequently superior third party support.Lilac_Benjie
But that still depends on whether or not you like the games that come out. DS games are pretty different from PSP games, so if you don't prefer that style, it could get AAA's all week and you won't care.

I personally believe NDS has something for everyone on it.

It even has better First Person Shooters.
Really the PSP can't have a deciding gameplay advantage over it.

I've played much more DS than psp (way more people have them), and I just don't really prefer the cutesy and stylus heavy games. They're fun, and good games, but my impression of psp still outshines it.
I would almost buy a DS just for new super mario...almost.

1. There are a lot of dark, mature DS games. Actually, more intelligent ones then on the PSP. Hotel Dusk anyone?
2. The Stylus is kinda THE FREAKING POINT.

Didn't say there weren't...but don't sit here and tell me that quite a few of the great games are more..uh.."japanese inspired" than those of psp. The system is all about fun, and it shows.
2. The Stylus is kinda THE FREAKING POINT.
Didn't say it wasn't. Actually I was implying that it was. Hence, if I don't like the stylus, I won't like DS very much. And I don't.
if u have enough money,upgrade your pc.-wii60-
and lug it around in a suitcase. "hey, pc's are portable!"

Sweet i'm so robbing my friend when it gets released
No one i know has a psp :(
>: its out already.
Racers, shooters, sports games, better graphics = PSP
Innovation, platformers, quantity of games = DS
RPG's are decent enough on both, altho neither hold a light to console RPG's. Yet.
I own a DS, myself, but both are awesome as far as I'm concerned.
Summary: It depends on what you're into.

DS gets zelda PH, DQ9, new tales, FF remake.

PSP gets God of war, a new silent hill, Crisis core(which is confirmed to be the best FF in years by everyone who imported it), and 2 star ocean remakes.

And I believe that PSP does as well, but they still both have different kinds of games by and large.
It even has better First Person Shooters.

First of all your assertion is VERY questionable, second of all the PSP is strongly represented in puzzlers, racing, fighting and SHMUPs (relative to DS on this one).
I'll go so far as to say that PSP has more innovative puzzlers than DS by a green country mile.

Eh, NSMB isn't as good as Yoshi's Island DS IMO.
A sequel to Super Mario Bros. versus a sequel to Super Mario World 2.

If the PSP is so good, then why are Cows still talking about future releases instead of games currently released on it?
I mean God of War on the PSP isn't being released until halfway through next year, and who knows how badly it will play with only one digital pad.

Because the guy I quoated was talking about DS future releases too?....
i have both. i will be accused of being a fanboy but the ds sucks. its just.... inferior. psp has everything, even if u couldnt play games on it it would still be worth buying.
but i can't make up your mind for you. look at both systems games and decide which one appeals to you.

OK, you posted your opinion, heres mine ->
Super Mario 64 DS >>> Ape Escape - yes
Mario Kart DS >>>> WipEout Pure - HELL NO
Final Fantasy III >>>>> Final Fantasy 1 and 2 - both suck
Metroid Hunters > Syphon Filter - HELL NO
New Super Mario Bros > Daxter, Ratchet - HELL NO

Because they were discussing new releases. You want me to list games already out?
Mario Kart DS >>>> WipEout Pure
Willy105
WTF? Two aren't even roughly comparable and the rest and all VERY subjective. BTW, can you name another good FPS on DS aside from MPH?

I agree, except for the last two.
I went to the store excited to buy a psp I had with me around 200 dollars and as I was about to purchase my psp, I started noticing the prices of all the extra stuff I would personally need....memory sticks, extra battery for longer play time, screen protectors etc...so based on a financial decision I unwilinglybought a DS with spite instead because I had this painted image of dumb kiddy games hanging over my head.
Fortunately, I've been having a whole lot of fun with my DS more so than I imagined I could have with a psp...I'm actually looking forward to great games that are coming out...especially Ninja Gaiden and Sonic Rush.
So what exactly am I saying? I really don't know
I'd suggest you buy a psp though as many have said, your sig seems to point to it.
