[QUOTE="DaysAirlines"]Oni was a Bungie/Rockstar collaboration. I doubt we'll see another Oni.Locke562
Actually I think Bungie sold the rights to the game after devoloping it.
I don't know. You'd think after selling the rights, whoever bought them would have done something with them. Of course, I haven't really heard anything from the Bungie camp either. It's a question to ask.[QUOTE="organic_machine"]Why not a new IP? Why does it have to be an old one? BillGates_Money
stick to the script
okay by the script, I say NONE. Because Bungie should not do so. I hope they dont do another FPS.
Why not a new IP? Why does it have to be an old one? organic_machinesome old IP out there were so excellent that they deserve sequels. I rather see a sequel to a older game that hasn't been done in years over taking a chance on a new story that is more and likely a poorly done rehash of a great game. I want to see a Anachronox sequel :cry:

but if a new IP would theoretically suck, than they would butcher the old IP, thus ruining it's cl__sic status. Theoretically. Metroid Prime was an exception and took everyone by suprise. Sunshine was an example of this point. Some franchises were great, but need to stay dead.

[QUOTE="Spartan_024"]NGOP 2!!!!!!!!!!!!:Dmusicalmac:lol; Great success.. OR PATHWAYS INTO DARKNESS 2 :shock: Isn't that the first game project that Alex Seropian and Jason Jones worked on in their garage? That is way old school! I think Bungie was not even founder yet at that time...not sure.I wish they can ressurect this one into a new game.

It's called "vision". I remember how a lot of people were saying how Metroid and Ninja Gaiden were gonna suck in 3D. And we all know what happened.The fact that there's still so many people saying how X game can't work on 3D, is just sugar-coating the devs lack of vision for bringing their old series into the new era.

valid point. but if you love a IP enough you will play through it. Now if its EA or some other crap devoloper doing the sequel (like wing commander or Ultima X) I probably won't touch it no matter how much I want to. But if the devoloper has a pretty good long line of doing sequels (old school Sierra Online and Lucasart are great examples) Then might as well take a shot. P.S sorry for my examples I am a old school gamer that still longs for the games of the golden age of gaming.

very true. but there have been so many failures before. Take SMG. I WANT that game to be what I was waiting for since 1996. But I don't know if that potential game even exists. I am a skeptic. But I have been taken by suprise many times as well.
[QUOTE="Locke562"]I'd like to see a Bungie RPG :PrhaigunIt would be interesting to see what they come up with. It'd be Pimps at Sea

I mostly agree, but it is not always true. Case in point. Perfect Dark is one of, if not my all time favorite game. I tried SO hard to play through Perfect Dark Zero. That game WAS the reason I got a 360. Not Halo 3, nothing else. Just PDZ. I couldn't bear to play it more than a week. That is an example of me not playing through it. After that, I realized I needed to be a skeptic.
