Which platform can STEP up and challange the playstation 3 this holiday

the MOMENTUM the playstation 3 has right now is staggering. its on every ones lips and shops are selling out FAST. many PC and 360 owners are either upgrading or moving to sony's platform also. i work in a game shop and have seen this with my OWN eyes.

The only platform with a chance is either the DS or Wii. but if you look at the facts then with the AMAZING line up of quality exclusives, FREE online and that sony BUILD quality you just dont see anywhere else. the Wii and DS will struggle along with the PC and 360.

The Wii and DS will be big sellers (as always), I also think the Xbox 360 will sell a little bit under the PS3.

Well the Wii is pretty much guaranteed to outsell the PS3...so yeah.

Dude PS3 we've been waiting on you to step up and challenge the 360. Why don't you take care of that whole thing before you even start thinking about how to challenge the Wii.

I just got a leaflet of a mall in Italy. they're selling xbox 360 arcade + Banjo Kazooie for € 150. it's hard to resist since the ps3 without games still costs € 299.

Genevese and italians in general don't spend a lot of money in anything due to the highly priced "insurance" they have to pay to "cosa nostra".

More like what console can step up to the Wii in sales or PC in games this holiday?

I love my PS3's but I'm not naive to think it will have a chance against the Wii with price cut. TC you really don't realize how most young kids will get this as a present for Christmas espciallly with it's low cost and deals ($50gc at WM). Now the realquestion is will the 360 challenge the PS3 for second or will it just fade a way this christmas into a distant 3rd in monthly sales?

I picked up a PS3 here in the states through Best Buy's Black Friday special and it came with Little Big Planet GOTY edition and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time all for 299.00.

Im excited and sad all at the same time. Now I have all 3 systems and I'm going to be buying games 24/7, my wallet is going to hurt. LOL

I stopped reading when you mentioned something about PC owners 'upgrading to a PS3' ..seriously, wtf? I love my PS3 but it's no PC.
