Depends on what makes the online experience better for you, I guess. If you are referring to playing games online, then the "online expeience" is virtually identical, between PS3 and 360, at any rate. I've never tried the Wii's online, but I hear people don't like it. And PC's online can vary from game to game, depending on which online service the game uses, or if its online is mostly on community supported servers, etc.
Depends on what your friends are playing. All of my friends play 360 pretty exclusively, so that's my choice.
I remember the Wii being a mess, though.
for me personally ps3, just turn it on and i'm signed in and i go about my day, i don't gotta worry about if payed my fee for the month.
and yes that was a blow to live
okay that 12 year old playing thing is getting old, there are immature people across all platforms and i dare you to prove me wrong.Pc. Dedicated servers and very few 12 year old kids playing.

I love the way you're always like " What does it matter what system you play games on, you're still just sitting on ass blah blah blah" or "it doesn't matter which online experience is the best".
And then you dump that logic and have a go at Xbox Live at every opportunity.
Not starting anything here, just pointing out a little hypocrisy. :D

Yea I don't worry about that either because I pay for it a year at a time.
And the '12 year argument' is pretty weak; there are annoying online gamers no matter how you choose to play.

whoa, there, at the end of the day thats all we do is play videogames and have fun but also i have my own opinons and think people paying for live are getting ripped off, i can voice my opinions. Don't see no hypocrisy, he asked which platform offers the best online experience, just because of the fact that you gotta pay for live when the competitors do it for free makes it lose for me, oh i'm sorry, the ps3 and pc all have better online experiences then the 360, there fair enough for ya?I think the PC is more consistent in terms of allowing games to have better quality online with userland servers and whatnot, but I prefer playing online on PS3 because it's just easier and that's what the people I play online with are on. That being said, I met those people by playing online, so I'm sure constantly playing on PC would fill my friendslist, but it's currently at 0.

Then you do a complete turn-around and state how XBL is a rip-off. As in, i thought you didn't care how, when or what people were playing and/or if they pay for it or not?
Also, I'm not defending XBL, if you'd mentioned the Wii or any other platform, my post would have been the same.

ughh, i don't understand what you trying to get at? but whatever, call me a hypocrite or whatever it doesn't matter to me, i just think xbox live is a rip off and thats why my 360 collects dust until an exclusive comes out that i just gotta play which isn't going to happen for a long long time. so the guy asked which offers the best online experience and i gave my opinion on the matter. ps3/pc offers the best, live is a rip off, if you don't agree with that well thats fine and dandy too.[QUOTE="balfe1990"][QUOTE="Chris_Williams"] whoa, there, at the end of the day thats all we do is play videogames and have fun but also i have my own opinons and think people paying for live are getting ripped off, i can voice my opinions. its all goodIn my experience......
PC>>>>360>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>PS3
PSN isn't the best online community.
Very few people have mics. And the ones who do are usually little kids who won't shut up, or someone who doesn't speak English.
It's best to mute all and pretend you're playing a bot match, because that's what it feels like anyway....
And the Wii? There's really no need to include the Wii
-I play games, not consoles. Flame me over my opinion if you dare.

A lot more on 360 though because parents just buy them the cheapest system(Wii dont count) to shut them up...old school gamers and more mature crowd seem to be on Ps3 but you right you got the annoying screaming kids everywhere

Nice generalization! Im 31 and most of my friends who have 360 are around my age.
In reality, every comunity have kids, being unnable to hear them doesnt mean they are not there. Actually, if internet is any indicator, i would say PSN has the most.
X360 > PS3 > Wii when it comes to features like cross-game chat but you have to pay and Wii has the annoying friendcodes. If you don't care about cross-game chat and just want to play online then the 3 consoles are basically the same and the lag is completely dependable of how good the servers of the game developer are. Most of the time low budget, niche or unpopular games like KOF have lots of latency while games like Killzone, COD, Halo, etc. are lightning fast. If you ask me the best online would be PS3. It lacks some features like cross-came chat but it doesn't has friendcodes and is free. People say that most people on PSN doesn't has mics but that was in 2007 and another thing that many lemmings doesn't want to accept either is the fact that there are many more people playing online on PSN than XBL. It seems it' too hard to comprehend that the PS3 is only 3 millions behind in sales and that PSN is free and anyone can make as many accounts as they want.

nope more on 360 on then any other system..plenty of polls to prove that go look it up or just play both for 15 min..most ppl on ps3 are on it because they are old school gamers who played ps1 and love the brand and grew up on it and are old enough to have jobs and money now so they dont care paying more money...as for 360 most parents who want a video game system to keep their kids out trouble or out of thier hair and dont know much about video games walk into walmart and see 2 systems next to eachother with basically the same games but ones cheaper..hmmm which do you think theyll choose? exactly...Im not going to argue I know im right so you can keep going if you want...I never said 360 didnt have old people like you and you friends and Ps3 didnt have kids[QUOTE="PAL360"]

I have a job, money and a life. Having a 360 is only a matter of preference. Are you saying that older ppl cant prefer Gears and Forza over Uncharted and GT?
Also i wouldnt call PS1 ppl 'old school gamers'. As a big fan of systems like ZX Spectrum 128k, Amiga 500, Nes, megadrive, etc, i find 360 to be my favourite console this gen.
I'm mainly a PC gamer, but my best online moments have been from the 360.
Here is why:
*Most of my friends are on the 360.
*One profile that works with all my games.
*I dont have to muck around with port-forwarding and firewall settings (amongst other irritating problems that you can experience).
*XBL Party Chat is wonderfull.
Thats not to say I enjoy PC multiplayer any less, its just at times it can be a massive time sink, causing a undesirable Tinkering:Fun ratio.
Games like L4D, Killing Floor, Magicka, BF2 have all been sterling multiplayer experiences, but i can safely say that at some point I've swore and cursed at something to get it running, and my friends will say the same.

are you really so intent on arguing that you cant see the big picture? Of course theres dif ppl of all ages, races, backgrounds, social classes and all that on either system...I explained why there tends to be an older crowd on ps3 and why there tends to be a younger one on 360...sure theres exceptions with their own prefrences and opinions but that doesnt change the fact that the 360 has way more kids...Ive never heard an 8 or 7 year old that can barely communicate on ps3 besides once...when im playing halo I can barely understand the baby talk half the other players are shouting...seriously wow dude...im doneI would rank it like this:
1)PC (because you can do whatever the f you want).
2a)XBOX Live Gold
2b)PSN+
4)PSN
5)Wii (hey at least you can play online)
6)XBOX Love Silver (LOL can't even game online)
Even a PS3 gamer should admit that Live+Gold has a few extra perks over standard PSN. However PSN I'm sure does 90% of Live and it's FREE. Most every game I play on PSN is a smooth, lag free experience. Especially Sony's exclusives. Then again if you pay for PSN+ then it's right there with Gold, so maybe the argument isn't even as concrete as I initially said.

PC is too spread out. Teamspeak, Xfire, Vent, Steam, and the hundreds of in game voip options makes it a real pain imo. Xbox live everyone is in a nice central location.Any answer other than PC, is wrong ;).
