Which portable is better for rpgs?

well the DS has FF1-3, but psp has ff7

id say DS cus it also has advanced wars, a harvest moon game, and zelda

psp has alot of rpgs not just FF:CC and the ds touch screen doesnt add anything to the rpg genre you just have to select attak and stuff with directional pad,,,psp can make beautiful rpg's

I tried those 2 some time ago. I couldn't get into it.

I'd say psp is better.

The DS has more and arguably better RPG's, but they're a little more old school oriented.

Also if you haven't got a GBA then add in the GBA old school RPG's for the DS, which can play them. If you count the GBA RPG's along with the DS ones you will be good to go for years to come. Look beyond the obvious choices of FF's and DQ's.

I still don't get how the Advance Wars series is a RPG all of a sudden :S.

To me it's still turn based strategy...just like Field Commander isn't an RPG.:roll:

Right now DS has Pokemon, Etrian Odyssey, Mario and Luigi and FF12 revenant Wings all of which i can highly reccomend. There's also tons of stuff coming out for it this year.

The PSP has a retranslated version of FF Tactic, Jean D'AR(excellent) and a few other things coming out. Either choice is great

Etrian odyssey was the worst game i bought for my ds

Looking at the 2008 lineup, DS has a huge RPG lineup.

FF: Tactics Advance 2

FF: Crystal Chronicles

Remakes of several DQ and FF4

DS 100 %. The psp has final fantasy I and II remake but the graphics are like snes graphics. The DS has final fantasy 3 remake, 4 remake, FFCC, DQ 1,2,3,4, Advance wars series, harvest moon, zelda, should i stop?Matthew_han

actually DQ 4,5,6 remakes. Also add FF Tactics A2 and a new Tales game built just for DS (not a port). Advance Wars is not RPG.

It's a TBS.
It's not an RPG game, and it plays nothing like an RPG game, unless you consider any game that has an "attack" option you choose on a menu an RPG.

It's very old skool adn difficult but for fans of that kind of stuff it' a masterpiece. and i thought it was amazing

psp has more but the DS does have pokemon so it up 2 you i play rpg more on my psp and platformer on my Ds.

Well instead of taking strangers word for it I suggest you check it out for yourself before you spend $100 on a system. I don't own a ds so have someone else put a list but heres a list I found not all of them are rpgs but their are some actions since you said you liked those too.

Quite a bit better actually, that's why it got a much higher score and people bought so many copies

but i suppose you've got to play every piece of trash that comes your way if you bought a Ps3 in 07. You should check out Lair as well, i heard it's a killer app :lol:

IGN gave Folklore AAA. I have the game and think it is great other than the fact that you have to play each level twice.

PSP has Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics, Valkyrie Profile and Jeanne d' Arc.
