Well umm metal gear can be considered a movie already. But since that series has an unfair advantage....hmm dunno
uncharted could be assosiated with many other movies already.
Halo lets be honest....no. Has zero potential to be a movie
Mass effect is not something people would probably see
so umm Metal gear wins I guess
Why no Metroid option in the poll?Fried_ShrimpI was going to say Metroid it could work well as a movie so long as Sakomoto is involved with it because he knows more about how the movie should be then anybody. Also if you watch Movie Mode in Metroid Other M that you unlock after beating the game that is just the cutscenes together and it is about as long as a movie.
Why? WHY would anyone want to see mgs in a hollywood style movie? The reasons of questioning that are far to many to list. Uncharted would be a best bet of out those because its already like a typical movie. Que in smartass and typical bad guy along a beautiful, yet mysterious island and bam.
The universe itself has a lot of potential if it weren't for MC.. Would have much greater potential than COD anyway ( just kidding, I mean it's true but Im joking) Anyone who votes GTA = wow.Well umm metal gear can be considered a movie already. Yeah I couldn't remember the name but national treasure is almost an exact clone of what an uncharted movie would bethere already is an uncharted movie! it's called national treasure. or indiana jones.

any of them could make a good movie. it all depends on the studio and whos directing it. of course theres going to be a mass effect movie.
Actually now i think of it, a modern warfare movie directed by micheal bay wouldnt be so bad.
Hm...
Mass Effect has such a cinematic feel to it already and is so fleshed out, a movie is rather pointless. Guilty in admitting I'm curious to see what it will look like though.
GTA...no.
Metal Gear Solid has a great story, no denying that, but to try and pack the sheer amount of it into a 2-3 hour movie could be a mess. They have to leave time to entertain us and not just overload us with information.
Uncharted could make a fun action-adventure movie, but it will be overshadowed by the almighty Indiana Jones and I can't see it being anything more than a popcorn flick.
Halo has a great universe. The games do their best at telling a great story but it relies on other forms of media to truly shine (books for example). A movie could do wonders for the Halo universe and that is why, out of your options, I pick Halo. Great universe, a lot of great characters and room to make new ones, universe is easy to understand but still complex for those that want to dig deeper, and there would certainly be a lot of entertaining battles. A Halo movie could be epic, in the right hands of course.
Depends what you mean...Uncharted could easily be transferred into movie format. The same thing has already been done and it wouldn't require tons of research or stress...just some a couple nice special effects. It could make a nice summer flick.
As for potential to make the best movie...gotta be Mass Effect...I have never seen a game that goes into more thorough detail about the other races and species living in the universe...even if you yourself rarely or never come in contract with them. The thing is a lot of research would have to go into a Mass Effect (not to mention it would be a very long movie)and unless people were willing to work hard on it and give it a big budget...well it could turn out bad. And I would rather see no Mass Effect movie made unless it was going to really show how great a universe and series it is.

I agree with a lot of what you have to say. The only problem is would MC be the main protagonist in the Halo movie?

Halo was actually nearly made a movie a few years back...the project was cut short due to budget concerns...oh and btw Peter Jackson was going to head the project so I hardly doubt the series has zero potential to be a movie.
Left 4 Dead movie :P Actually I wouldn't mind a God of War Movie.ujjval16I could imagine aGod of War movie getting huge criticism for its gore and violence. (Not from reviewers but profitless organizations) just like GTA got critized for the ablity to drink and drive for an example.
Left 4 Dead. Something needs to get the crappy taste of those Resident Evil movies out of our mouths.nervmeisterThe first one wasn't to bad.

"During 1943, U. S. officials imposed a short-lived ban on sliced bread as a wartime conservation measure. The ban was ordered byClaude Raymond Wickard who held the position of Food Administrator, and took effect on January 18, 1943. According to the New York Times, officials explained that "the ready-sliced loaf must have a heavier wrapping than an unsliced one if it is not to dry out." It was also intended to counteract a rise in the price of bread, caused by theOffice of Price Administration's authorization of a ten percent increase in flour prices.
In a Sunday radio address on January 24, Mayor LaGuardia suggested that bakeries that had their own bread-slicing machines should be allowed to continue to use them, and on January 26, 1943, a letter appeared in the New York Times from a distraught housewife:
I should like to let you know how important sliced bread is to the morale and saneness of a household. My husband and four children are all in a rush during and after breakfast. Without ready-sliced bread I must do the slicing for toast—two pieces for each one—that's ten. For their lunches I must cut by hand at least twenty slices, for two sandwiches apiece. Afterward I make my own toast. Twenty-two slices of bread to be cut in a hurry!
On January 26, however, John F. Conaboy, the New York Area Supervisor of the Food Distribution Administration, warned bakeries, delicatessens, and other stores that were continuing to slice bread to stop, saying that "to protect the cooperating bakeries against the unfair competition of those who continue to slice their own bread... we are prepared to take stern measures if necessary
On March 8, 1943, the ban was rescinded. Wickard stated that "Our experience with the order, however, leads us to believe that the savings are not as much as we expected, and the War Production Board tells us that sufficientwax paperto wrap sliced bread for four months is in the hands of paper processor and the baking industry." - Straight from Wikipedia. I'm not really sure if this is hate but its something.

When I think of a Halo movie, it usually doesn't include MC as the main protagonist. I think Bungie covered that well enough. Possibly in it a bit though.
