The last two polls on this subject have been pure trash, and it's a good question; this may be considered a fad topic but I'm putting it together anyway.

Out of this poll I will go with Battlefield 2. You guy's are really under-rating SOCOM tho and if you say but it has aim assist well it does but it sux and you can turn it off. The real players turn it off beacuse if your in a gunbattle agains 2 or 3 opponents and one try's to flank you and you're trying to allign a shot the crosshairs goes all crazy on you.
counter strike or ut, its up for grabs counter strike is more tactical, where as ut has a more twitch sort of gameplay
you're dumb if you don't vote Counter-Strike in this poll. That game TEACHES you how to play other FPSs in a way. If you can master aiming in Counter-Strike 1.6, every other FPS is cake in aiming.
How on earth does BF2 require skill? The game was fun, but by no means was it hard, the shooting is probably the simplest ever seen in a PC FPS, alongside COD of course. The only element you need to play the game well is teamwork.
i can aim in cs 1.6 and i cant aim in killzone 2 for ****you're dumb if you don't vote Counter-Strike in this poll. That game TEACHES you how to play other FPSs in a way. If you can master aiming in Counter-Strike 1.6, every other FPS is cake in aiming.

CS 1.6 doesn't make up for bad controls though, or the poor joystick layout of the dualshock
I think CS is, with ut2k4 as a runnerup (altho that game is more about remembering maps and respawntimes).
BF2 aint bad either, but the "cone of fire" is somewhat laughable from time to time, and I think it is built as a more relaxed fungame, which itexelles at ^^ (unlike CS where you pretty much have to know where your next 3 bullets are going to land before you even fired them).
CS has the "advantage" of being confined into small areas, or corridors, which makes hiding a pretty tough trait, so when 2 players meet it will be luck+skill that determins the outcome.
in BF2 + ARMA2 the areas are pretty big, so even a total sap like me can score a heck of alot of kills, by lying somewhere with a good scoped weapon. Which I guess is a testament to how far games went and how fast they did.

Counter Strike sucks, dont make me go all BF2 on this thread....because ill do it...
BF2 is awesome, but CS 1.6 gave me a little leg
Why dont I see Project Reality... Honestly I just lost all faith in PC gamers...[QUOTE="ThaGreatness007"]

PROJECT REALITY Hello? No one here is talking about the Project Reality Mod. I love Project Reality but the game BATTLEFIELD 2 does not require much skill at all.In terms of what? Being able to fire a Shock Core, wall-double-jump to avoid a flack grenade and Shock Combo, killing your opponent while still keeping an exact time of when the Redeemer is going to spawn? Or do you mean just hiding behind the first object you see and point and click at anything that moves?
I kid.
Still voting for UT2004, however.
