Back then when gaming was...fun and so simple. Back when you were 8 years old and Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo just came out. Which console did you choose? Me, I chose Sega, because I always rememberd the games looked way better and they did. I loved the sonic series, Vecterman, Tinhead, Ristar, Alien, Cliff Hanger...so much more.

I didn't know people were fighting over this. But I choose SNES, because of all the classics and only 2 add-ons I can remember: Sattelaview and Super GameBoy. Those beat the crap out of Sega CD and 32X.

I tried to get every Mario game released when I was 8....even that crappy detective game for the NES. "Where's Mario?" or something like that it was called.

Never cared who made what as long as it was fun. I was also lucky enough to usually own the top 3 (if there even was three) systems out with each generation. I guess you could say I was a fan of Sega even though we had a NES long before. It was probably because Sega had more arcade games early on. Most of the time I always had the latest Nintendo and Sega system (except for the 32x and Virtual Boy). Nowadays this whole choosing a side and the level of b.s. the fan boys shovel into every forum all in the name of some company who doesn't pay them a cent is just sad but it's nothing new. I'm just waiting to see it reach the level of stupidity where somebody dies over it. Luckily most fan boys are geeky cowards so I doubt it'll ever catch on ;)

Amiga 500. I also had a genesis but the games on it didn't appeal to me much. All hype those two.

I was more of a Sega fan. Looking back, wrong choice, the SNES was far and away the better console. I think the reason I sided with Sega was because my parents told me I could only get one system and at the time I went with Genesis because of Sonic 1 and 2. As time went on andI played SNES games at friends housesI realized my mistake. That's not to say the Genesis wasn't a good console.

NES was my first home console.

Back in 1989...

I had never owned a Sega console except Dreamcast.

It was NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, GC, Xbox, Xbox 360 and then PS3.
