I'd say 360...paying for batteries again and again...XBL...wifi would've been nice was a hassle to put another wire going through walls and all...same price as PS3 games which uses blu ray..so they should be cheaper(or am I missing something there). But for the PS3 the controllers are a lot.AlphaRail
agreed. you buy a "incomplete system. You gotta buy a wifi thing if u want it, harddrive (20 gigs is not alot), batterys, yearly xbl fee.
ps3 is expensive, but at least it has everything, jeez
If people wanted to buy original games and bought a Wii= consumer ripped off
If people wanted to buy a reliable console and bought a 360= consumer ripped off
If people wanted a excellent online service and bought a ps3= consumer ripped off
every body gets ripped off.

Well, if you are considering wifi, and to upgrade that mere 13gigs of hdd space, you have no other options.....
Sure, Xbox 360 is expensive if you need all those extra accessories. But if you want to play high-definition single-player games, you just can't get any cheaper than the 360 (and never will).
i would say MS...the controlers are mad expencive, and you still need to buy a battery pack.
then you could go with a wired connection to go live, saving you about 50$ depending on how big you need...but thats still 100$.
then all the microtransactions
the list goes on

Now if we're talking SYSTEM's here, a big ripoff is high-end PC hardware.
If you buy top notch, you're going to pay 2-2.5k on your computer and you won't need that much power for quite some time. If you wait a year and buy the same components you can get them for half off or more.
Well...Everything that I wanted and had to buy for my 360, I already had them on my PS3 except a bluetooth headset(But that's cool, I don't care.)
I've been ripped off before, this isn't the first time anyways.

What are you talking about? For $300, you get an Xbox 360 with a 20 GB hard drive, SAV/Component HD cables, an ethernet cable, a headset, and I believe a month of Xbox Live Gold. A yearly subscription isn't an absolute necessity and charge kits are only 20 bucks. Playstation 3 40 gig systems cost $400. They don't play any PS2 games at all, they dont come with any sort of headset, and they don't come with any high definition video cables. Why would 360 games cost less since they aren't Blu-Ray format? Games that release on both systems are usually completely identical regardless of the format.I would have to lean towards the Xbox 360.
Here's why....
Unreliable hardware
Outrageous price to upgrade to a wireless connection.
HDD upgrade prices.
Outdated (and slowly becoming a problem) disk format.
$20 for a faceplate. :|

In all honesty, and I know I'll get flamed for this, but I think the Wii is the biggest rip-off out of all the consoles.
Sure, you're getting a free video game and wifi capabilities, but Nintendo is still charging you more money than the system is worth; the Nintendo Wii costs less than $250 to manufacture yet Nintendo still sells it for that pricepoint instead of something cheaper, like $150, simply so they can make money off each console sold. The Xbox 360 and PS3 cost $200 over it's default price to manufacture each (for example, it'd cost $550 to build a pro-Xbox 360 kit or $600 for a PS3, yet they're sold for a fraction of the price), so you're paying less money than what the entire package is worth.
Also take into consideration that many of the Wii titles, by review average, are of a pretty low quality. Sure, some games on the Wii are great, such as Super Mario Galaxy, Zack & Wiki and No More Heroes, but only a handful of good games doesn't justify an ocean of pure crappy games.

I have to agree with him. One way a system has something good but lacks what the other systems have so I have to say all of them. Though I want to get a ps3 next so I'm begging to get ripped off.. :D

yum, i vote 360 as biggest rip also.
Wii, because almost every game comes with an expensive addition . Mario Kart with a steering wheel, Wii fit with a balance board , crossbow training with a crossbow, etc... That makes it really expensive . Also the controllers are expensive too .
However, PS3 also rips off as you need an additional HDMI cable, ethernet cable which isn't included in your starter set, and you need to upgrade your HDD if you have a 40GB version...
The 360 is the biggest rip off too because of the expensive online, and because : my first didn't have HDMI output, my second RROD , my third was an elite , my fourth will be a blu-ray one ? Come on, the 360 is pure rip-off . Battery pack, wireless ethernet, 120 gig hard disk, messenger pad, it costs you an additional 360 as well !!
wow its really hard choice. because all 3 ripp you off.
but my vote is for ps3. because its main goal is to get u into hd while the prices are still high. so you gotta go out and buy 2500 dollar 1080p sony hdtv then go out and buy a 500 dollar sony surround sound system. just to watch 30 dollar blue ray movies and then play most ur games in 720p. i`ll leave out the fact that they still make great rpgs on ps2 while ps3 owners get the none. two years deep.....
