Which System Should I Buy, PS3 or Xbox 360?

Check the respective game libraries and see what game you like best.Then buy the system that those games are on.

Well do you want to play good 2006-2007 games or play good 2008-2009 games? If you want to play better future games to come go with the PS3. If you want to play a 2-3 years old games library go with 360.

If you want a console that gives you more for your money go with the PS3. If you want a console that won'T break at any moment for no apparent reasons go with the PS3. If you want to watch HD movies once in a while with friends get a PS3. If you want to pay for online go with 360. If you want to buy batteries every so often buy a 360. If you want to scratch your disc go with 360.

Tough choice, but it depends on how good of a consumer you are to make the right purchase.

He's right, I have a 360 and a PS3. My 360 game library is far larger than my PS3 but all my 360 games are from 2006-2007 except gears 2 and fable 2. For upcoming games I see my PS3 getting alot of play. There are no upcoming games for the 360 that I'm excited about other than Star Ocean 4.

Reliable Hardware

Better upcoming games

Extremely quiet

More built-in features

PSN is free

HDD can be replaced by an HDD on the market

-Cons:

Smaller game library

PSN is not as good as XBL

PSN is very quiet alot of the time. (Not many people with headsets)

XBOX 360

-Pros:

XBL is better than PSN

Bigger game library

Cheaper? (at first purchase it is cheaper but when you want the features that the PS3 have as well as paying for XBL, it will cost more than the PS3)

-Cons:

Kids on XBL that will undoubtedly make you rage.

Incredibly noisy, imagine a Boeing 747 taking off constantly

Hardware not as reliable

No Blu-ray movies

Must buy a special HDD for the 360

I'm looking at both systems and the decision is pretty close. I am a casual gamer and play only once in a while. I am leaning towards more for the PS3 at the moment for the built-in wireless and blu-ray player. I know if I get the Xbox 360 Pro and buy the wireless adapter it would be the same price as the PS3 80GB. Can anyone tell me if the wireless adapter is any good? I'm hoping to hear more about the pros of each as well, rather than the cons.GerOhMyGosh

He's right, I have a 360 and a PS3. My 360 game library is far larger than my PS3 but all my 360 games are from 2006-2007 except gears 2 and fable 2. For upcoming games I see my PS3 getting alot of play. There are no upcoming games for the 360 that I'm excited about other than Star Ocean 4.

360 has the best upcoming games for me, i am a RPG gamer, and PS3 in 2009 has 2 JRPG's already out in Japan, receiving the worst scores a JRPG has got this generation

360 on the other hand has Star Ocean 4, gets FF13 too and a load of other stunning RPG's, Mistwalker support and an avalance of huge open world stunning next gen WRPG's

Plus huge world games like Alan Wake and KUF2 dominion etc etc

So, the best upcoming games is a matter of preference, PS3 has nothing for me, so how could it possibly have a better upcoming games lineup ? When it has not one game i am interested in and 360 has 35+ ?

Forza 2 is the best driving game on the market right now seeing as I have played it, however I am confident that when GT 5 comes out, PGR4 and Forza 3 would become an embarassment seeing as each GT game sets the standard for driving sims.

Unless the 360 can bring games to match big juggernauts such as GT5, KZ2, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, the 360 no longer has the best lineup.

I mean 2 Halo games in the same year? I feel worried for my 360.

I own all this generation of consoles and if I had to choose just one of them to keep, it would be the X360.

The xbox 360 has a much bigger and better game library. The multi-platform games are usually better on the xbox 360. It also has more good exclusives and XBOX LIVE is just the best online network out there.

The PS3 is a good console no doubt. But it hasn't had many good exclusives, it also usually ends up have the worse version of any multi-platform game. Playstation Network and Playstation Home are awful. I wish Sony would just implement a service like XBL. I am willing to pay $50 a year for a great online experience. There are some good games coming to the PS3, like Killzone 2 and inFamous. But I bought the system simply for it's exclusives and because Killzone 1 is my favorite game of all time.

You also need to remember what console does your friends have? Because it is wicked fun to play co-op or versus against them in offline and online multiplayer.

You can't go wrong with Both. But its up to you and the type of games you prefer.

Personally, I have just a PS3 and it's more than enough for me, along with a DS. Not that I'm a Cow, I just prefer the longevity of the PS3, the games are fine, its online is free, it has the FPS (being a fan of the genre), the single player is more focused, and the Blurray player is the icing on the cake. Plus, I don't game as often as I did before, so one console and handheld are more than enough. And I don't play online, which is why I prefer having a FREE service.

I would have gone the 360 route had it not been for RROD and XBox Live FEE, .....otherwise, it's a great system.
