I have had an Xbox 360 the past few years and had the RRoD once, but got it fixed still under warranty, I love my xbox and I even have 250 games for it (most were the cheap games that I could get for under $10) But I don't regret buying any of them. My problem is I never trade in my games though. Some people have baseball card collections, and music collections, but Xbox 360 games are my collection. But what I realized last night was how my Xbox 360 won't last forever. I knew that before, but it really hit me hard. I have been wanting to get a PS3 as well, so I can play their exclusive games, and when I move out, I would have a Blu-Ray player, but then I get this feeling of which system I should start buying for if I do get the PS3. The PS3 will obviously last a lot longer, but I already have all these Xbox games. And the way PS3 is already backwards compatible, by the time of PS4, I don't see why it still shouldn't be either, So any PS3 games I have I should still be able to play, even when my PS3 is gone. But I really hope the next Xbox will be backwards compatible, that way all my games don't seem worthless in 5-10 years when my Xbox is dead. That way I could still play them on the new Xbox. If only I could just swap my xbox version of games I have for a PS3 one :( I guess I just don't know which path to follow anymore... Xbox, or Playstation. I kind of want to switch from Xbox to PS3, just because it seems more reliable. But then what about all my games? :(
