Which version of Fallout 3 are you going to get?

I kind of have an idea of what the poll results will be already, but let's see.

I would have rather posted this in general games discussion but for some reason you cannot do polls there.

I've got a q6600 with a GTX 260 OC2, I expect it to run butter-smooth.

3 GB RAM

nVidia Geforce 8600 GT 256 mb VRAM

I think I'll fare well enough. I mean, I can run Oblivion on its highest settings.

No, but Bethesda has said that its a slightly modified Oblivion engine, so I base my assumptions off of its specs.

I'm not getting any version of Fallout 3 because I'm not into failure.

I'm playing the PC version of Fallout 2 right now for the first time ever....does that count?

Sorry I'm not a cheap commercialite monkey who buys into whatever software trend everyone else is. The rest of you...if you're going to make the mistake of buying Fallout 3....at least buy the version that can be reworked with mods into something remotely playable.

Oblivion left a bad taste in my mouth.

you dont get the thread? if you came to that conclusion AND dont understand it, you're beyond help i'm afraid.

It is simply inquiring which version you're getting, it doesnt imply anything else, how much money you have, or if you're getting multiple versions, or have multiple choices, it's just a poll of which version people plan to buy, sheesh.

so in a way it's based on a slightly outdated engine (not in a bad way but requirements probably wont be any higher because it's based on an egine that was designed a little bit in the past from a technological timeline perspective).

The only thing i dont get is the mhz equivalency, since they have dumped that measuring stick a little while ago (what with CPU's now have a relatively lower hz rating with other thins done to increase relative performance).

For instance, i dont really know how my Core 2 compares to the older P4 Mhz equivalence yardstick.

I have worries about it coming from a Fallout 1 & 2 player but i'm hoping it turns out well.
