Which version of Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best?

Metal Gear Solid 3, y'know? That got included in the HD collection and a 3D remake?

I vote for Subsistence because it was the only version that added features that really counted (3D camera, multiplayer). The 3DS version was cool too because it had plenty of new features, but it lost some as well. I find it hilarious that while GameSpot says that the 3DS version is the best, they gave it the lowest score out of all of them :lol:

MGS3D. The photo cam and crouch walk (don't think other versions had that) made the game a lot better. It has the best use of 3D on the 3DS also. It looks very good, even though it had some frame-rate drops at odd places.

I'd say Subsistence on PS2.

The HD collection on PS3 is almost the same thing, but lacks the really awesome multiplayer the PS2 version had before the servers shut down. Snake Eater was the "base" version and doesn't really match up to Subsistence or any of the improved versions since then, especially since you could play it just like Snake Eater with the camera if you wanted and have all those other extras too (though the new camera is easily a good addition).

I'm ignorant but i didn't know there was a difference. Regardless that game is the psychical form of perfection. One of the greatest games ever created.... even if you don't have a Ps3 to play MGS4 it doesn't matter.. you played the Best... part 3.

MGS3 is definitely the best MGS ever. Oddly enough, I think MGS2 is better. I've played and beaten it so many times, but 3 is improved in every area.

Its not bad on the Xbox 360 or anything, but the controls don't work as well, especially with the pressure sensitivity and d-pad sneaking.

im not a fan of the mgs games but i do love mgs3. the game had great environment. anyways the best version is the ps3/360 remake because of the great hd graphics. and the worst version is the 3ds. the game lags alot, i truly hated the 3ds version, it was a shame such a great game got slaughtered with a extgremely poor portjob.

3DS version may have lower visuals, it makes the game incredibly fun with the Photo Camo thing. I played through most of the first part with the Witcher 2 Box and it was all Yellow from the Flames and it made the game think I had 100% Camo. HA.

But, If you like HD Visuals and don't want to mess with the Photo Camo or just want to play it on your TV, then HD Collection doesn't hurt.

Take a Picture of the Xbox 360 Box Art of The Witcher 2 on the 3DS.

Make Sure the Guy's Head is somewhere around the middle and the "The" has to show and the Bottom.

This for some reason got me 100% Camo for most of the game so far. It's hilarious cause it makes Snake look like he has a Bright Yellow Suit.

PS2, i played the story at least 7 times without getting bored, if i had to choose between the hd and normal one, id choose the normal :D
