Despite being totally different genres (sort of :P)... both of their predecessors scored an enormous 96 at Metacritic and both won GOTY awards.
Who do you think will score higher this time?

They'll both get 8.5's, and if there predecesors are anything to go by they'll both be terrible.

Cinematic third-person shooter...or cinematic third-person shooter with story choices?
...It's so hard to pick one!
Let not forget that one does roleplaying, too. You're kidding yourself if you don't think ME3 will score higher. Not saying Uncharted 3 is going to be bad, but lets be honest: Unless ME3 is a broken, buggy mess, which it won't be, there is no way it's going to score lower than Uncharted.
Uncharted 3 will at least tie it if not beat it. I see Uncharted 3 getting a 9.0 on GS and ME3 getting an 8.5.

Pretty good chance of that, given the first two ;). Enjoyed them thoroughly (except a few parts where I raged really hard), but they have some serious issues.

You don't think the extra time they have due to the delay won't make sure it has no bugs in the game?Pretty good chance of that, given the first two ;). Enjoyed them thoroughly (except a few parts where I raged really hard), but they have some serious issues.

Aside from things being too bright in the first ME, how else were they bugged? I never encountered a single one.

ME2 floating team mate glitch. The power aiming errors. The insanity bug that make the enemies immune to powers sometimes. And let's not for get Kasumi's freezing warp. And don't get me started on ME1.[QUOTE="NaveedLife"]

The fight against the...oh gosh its been too long lol....the purple girl. That was one instance of some seriously annoying bugs. She would use the telekenisis and i would get thrown into the corner where you are not supposed to go. And you CANNOT get out. Eventually though you bust through the wall and slowly glide into glitchy outerspace. This typeof thing happened to me I think 3 times with her, at least. I dont remember if there were other serious tech bugs in ME1 or if the rest were in ME2. But there were some annoying design decisions. The inventory system was terrible. Just cause I am full of items, it means when I go to pick another up I have to destroy one of the ones I am picking up? It wont just let me go into my intenvtory to destroy something old? Then when you think, well I just wont try and pick anything up for now. But wait, you did a great job, so we are going to award you with items when you go to your inventory screen...oh we gotcha! You cant have them, cause you are full, so now you have to destroy them! Oh darn, I guess I will just go to my last checkpoint to fix this....wait...the checkpoint was ALL THE WAY BACK HERE!? Screw this!
That was my experience with ME1, in addition to some other minor things. ME2 was worse for bugs I think. A mission that could not be completed. Getting stuck on people and objects throughout the entire game, and the final mission breaking, causing me to restart. Honestly, ME1 and 2 are soem of the least polished big name games I have played this gen. BUT I did enjoy them quite a bit.
@Naveed and Dreman,
I honestly never experienced a single bug in any of my playthroughs, and I have all the achievements for them.

Get real here
Tali's hips streth farther beyond what is beyond perfect (11.5)
I WILL see her face in ME3!
It seems GS isnt THAT fond of either of them, despite the second entry in each series scoring VERY well on the site. The guy who reviewed infamous 2 is reviewing UC3 so I'm not expecting anything higher then a 8.5, on the other hand i'm expecting ME3 to flop a bit in scores everywhere except IGN (who love the ME franchise to death) because of how DA2 turned out..... after the awesomeness which was DA orgins.dracolich55Riiight, because it's all a big conspiracy

Never experienced a single one of those. Hm. Must have been lucky.
Honestly, why do we even do this anymore.. The .5 scale has ruined all the fun of review scores... Everything gets the same score

Hey, I was just joking. I know how GameSpot works.
But you got to admit that around these parts, people think of an 8.5 as a good game while 8.0 is an average game, etc.

i would agree that this forum views it that way. i have no idea how 8.0 became average to some of these people. as far as im concerned 8 is a compliment. the way hype distorts the perception of the scoring system on this forum is rediculous.I'm going to have to say Uncharted 3. Naughty Dog seems so improve game after a game. From what I've seen of Uncharted 3 so far, saying it looks incredible is an understatement. I feel like Bioware is going to mess up something in Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 1 was excellent, Mass Effect 2 good but not much better, from what Bioware has done with Dragon Age 2 I don't know how Mass Effect 3 will turn out.
