Ok so today is a weird day for the wii :?
'Crystal Tools' is the new name of Square Enix's company-wide 3-D game development engine, and it'll support Wii.

[QUOTE="YoshiFan123"]Isn't this the engine they use for FFXIII and FFXIII versus?ToScA-
As far as I know, yes.
i thought square dropped it and made a cross platform engine
So they renamed it and it magically supports the Wii now?f50p90Yea, Square some how used magic to make it work, I wonder what kind of magic they used
This basically confirms that Square will develop a lot of games on the Wii. Dragon Quest 10, FF14 are all possibilities.whocares4peacekh3...
Isn't this the engine they use for FFXIII and FFXIII versus?YoshiFan123yeah but the engine will have to be completely redisigned and will completely different in terms of what you can do. don't take this to mean that FF13 and versus will go to wii just a chance that they will make other JRPG's on wii

It has been designed with multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360 and PC
Nemme
So this means that all consoles including PC can use this engine. Ah, the White Engine, the same engine Cows used to love to say could only be done on the PS3. Good times. :) Good news for everyone as it means lots of Squenix to go around, as opposed to last gen where it was PS2 all the time. Everyone wins! Yay for the era of multiplat!Hoffgod
It could only be done on PS3... in the state it was in at that time.
Square-Enix needed to take steps to make it work on other platforms.
