Am I the only one who DOES NOT care about any of these game franchises?:

 - Halo (1 and 2 are alright, nothing special, looking forward to Halo 3 like any other good FPS game coming on the 360 but with higher standards)

Zelda (I've never played a Zelda game, except for OoT which I tried recently, but, I didn't like it at all)

- Metal Gear Solid (I own MGS2 substance for ps2, I played maybe 2 hours of the game, never put it back in my PS2. I despise MGS. I borrowed MGS3 from a friend and hated that too. Boring slow gameplay. I ended up just running and gunning everyone with tranquilizers.)

Final Fantasy (I've played FF7, was pretty good. I tried playing a later sequel like XII or XII2 or XI or X or something I don't know, I can't remember. Didn't like it. Played FF3 on DS recently. Wow I hate this gameplay.

- Tekken (I used to play them on my PS1, that was good, but now the graphic advancements are minimal and they might as well be the same game with a different cover. What's so great about this franchise nowadays?)

- Devil May Cry (Never played it, if 4 is AWESOME, then I'll pick it up on 360)

- Metroid (or metroid prime, or whatever it's called, only played Metroid Prime Hunters on DS, I don't think I want anything to do with it anymore)

If you feel more or less the same way about all these franchises, please vote YES in the poll.
If you actually like one or more of these franchises and are actually excited to hear about an upcoming sequel or whatever, please vote NO in the poll.

Thanks

NO NO NON NON NON NONON NON ONON NON No. MP:H is the worst game in the metroid series. Plus, the first person games (the Primes) are only a small part of the series. You need to pick up Metroid Zero Mission (GBA), Super Metroid (SNES), and metroid fusion (GBA) and play them in that order. You can't NOT like metroid. YOU CAN'T!!!!

I usually don't enjoy 'series' as much as I do with (somewhat) standalone games. But it depends. I liked Gears of War (but it's far from being 9.6 imo... more like 8.9) I LOVED Curse of Monkey Island, and Grim Fandango. The first two Monkey Island games are good too (4th.. not so much) Counter-Strike (but now CS Source) F.E.A.R. was awesome God of War 1 was pretty good (didn't finish it though) World of Warcraft is very decent (but gets boring between lvl 20 to lvl 40 stages) NFS Underground 2 was great But I also like old school games, like Abadox (NES 1989), and those kind of scrolling 2d games. Oh and Super Mario Bros. and... yeah..

Because you're psychic. Is that what you want to hear? And GTA. Well, I played GTA1, GTA2, GTA3, not vice city, but I played San Andreas (I hate the idea of the 'stories' ones.. who would buy it for ps2? :S It's a psp port for crying out loud!) However, I'm excited about GTAIV so that's why it's not on the list.

Nah it's just been a cliche to hate on Halo and GTA these days, they're on EVERYONE'S "most overrated" list. But I'm glad you listed Tekken - man these series is such trash. I mean just do a lame combo (all the characters moves are the same) and take away 70% of your opponents health and the match lasts 10 seconds at the most.

I'm fully serious. I've played most of the Need for Speeds. They were all pretty good (hated the porsche challenge ones though) and Hot Pursuit 2 was pretty cool but it lacked something big. Underground 1 was an ok step. Added customizability which was good, and it was unique in the NFS games (or any racer tbh) but Underground 2 topped it off with free roaming and a more balanced money system (in U1 you win a few races and can buy anything and are rich) but after Underground 2 it went downhill. Most Wanted was kind of cool because of the cops, but, wtf ONLY day time? I was expecting day/night transitions damn it! And the environments looked all the same, all yellow and gray. And Carbon, ergh, still no day/night transition, and I didn't really play it (a real version anyway.. the crappy ds one does not count).

Raises hand. It isn't that I care, but I'm not hyping them either, I rather hype everything that comes from Bioware.
