Who are the Best, and Worst Developers? (IYO)

I vote Pandemic for one of the worst, they made some low quality games this gen.

I actually thought that was pretty tame. Then again, nothing riles up the GT fans like posting a thought out argument backed up with evidence (or in this case, a lack thereof).*

Relic- One of the few developers really trying to push the RTS genre forward. With Company of Heroes they removed the drudgery of resource gathering, and with Dawn of War 2 they added a more personal element to the gameplay.

Worst:

Polyphony Digital- They haven't released a quality game since GT4, and despite the long list of features Yamauchi has "confirmed" for GT5 they've practically gone out of their way to not show off anything new or meaningful. And it comes out in less than 6 months? Yikes.

Infinity Ward- They've made their living off of releasing a dumbed-down MoH:AA mod every 2 years and charging $60 for it. Add in all the other bull**** surrounding MW2, and it's hard to believe people still praise them.

Kojima- Someone get this guy an editor. Or twelve.

honestly, whoever that doesn't say Data Design as worst fails automatically. They don't even try.

I don't have a favorite developer, since I don't really think about who made the game, more how the game looks.

best:

1) the behemoth: indie developer extremely loyal to their fanbase who release nothing but gold

2) bioware: probably the best big development studio in gaing, bar none

3) turn 10: they just keep making awesome games, you cant fault them for that

4) epic: shadow complex

5) stardock: have only ever made good games

worst:

1) sonic team: the worst developers in gaming without a doubt

2) infinity ward: they sucked even when everyone was praising them, prior to the hate bandwagon

3) bethesda: sure they make 'good' games, i can admit that, but god damn i hate playing them

special shout out to arc system works for being the most confusing developer, making both complete garbage and the best fighting game of all time (guilty gear accent core)

Squaresoft(Not to be confused with Square-Enix)

Naughty Dog(As the TC pointed out, a very respectable and classy developer. Plus they make kickass games)

Insomniac(I can't remember them ever having a bad game, and that deserves them a mention at the very least)

Ninja Theory(I love Heavenly Sword, and Enslaved is one of my most anticipated for 2010)

Worst:

Square-Enix(All they make nowadays are remakes and half-hearted new IPs)

Valve(in terms of attitude)[They make awesome games though]

Bungie(Games are of a high quality, but they do very little in terms of innovation these days)

Neversoft(Just give it up already guys)

Turn 10(Incredibly cocky. They make good games, but they got bad attitudes)

Guerrilla(Just so I don't look like a total cow:P)[I liked KZ2 though]

Nintendo, Naughtydog, and Insomiac are my favorites. The old Rare is up there too.

I want to say Ubisoft as one of the worst, but the do have some great games, but 85% are shovelware.

Edit: Worst: Activision and Disney. Both just plain terrible.
