Who are we kidding? 2009 is when the real battle begins.

2008 will be a great year for the PS3, no doubt. With all the great titles coming out, plus the upcoming price reduction, sure the PS3 will definitely catch up to the Wii and the 360. I'm not sure that the PS3 will take the lead after 08' but it will definetly be right there in the face of both the Wii and the 360.

So when things get all tied up near the end of 08'; when all three consoles are pretty much even, then which console is going to pull away for good in 2009?

So 2009 is where it's at. I know that's a long way off but, that's just the way it is, in reality.

So I take it the 360 and Wii will just stop selling all together???? So all the games the 360 and Wii have coming out won't effect console sales at all??? 3 games on the PS3 is going tripple PS3 sales for an entire year???? Never mind the fact that the PS3 has been outold since it's launch 2 or 3-1 by the 360 and 4-1 by the Wii.

Come like.. 2013... When the Wii totally dominated everything and the 360 came in a semi-close second and PS3 was completely owned... You'll all still be saying "The real battle starts next year!"

If not for the delay with the PS3 it would have been out a lot sooner. It doesn't matter that the 360 has been out longer, at least not to the consumer. All they care about is price and games, both of which favor the 360 over the PS3.

I'm not a cow or a lemming. I just stated my opinion based on available information. I didn't even try to predict a winner in 09'.

But, we all have a pretty good idea what the Wii has coming out as far as 08' is concerned. (Obviously, we don't know what hasn't been anounced yet.)

Same thing with the 360.

And last but not least, the PS3.

Everyone some-what agrees that the PS3 has a pretty good "announced" 08' line-up that is some-what better than what the Wii and the 360's "announced line-ups are.

All I'm saying is that the PS3 could possibably make up some ground in 08'. Making things a little tighter in regards to competition. (I don't know, but is that so hard to understand and accept?)

And when and if that happens, things are going to be alot more exciting around here, with a closer race of all three consoles on our hands.

Ok fine lets say your right and Sony gets in gear come 2009. What makes you think Nintendo and Microsoft are just gonna wait for them to get started? They are not sitting on their butts now instead they came to this gen with their game face on from day one and are giving us their heavy hitter games presently meanwhile Sony really has zilch this holiday season and just because they come out with a 4oo dollar system that they are gonna just catch up because its cheaper well i have news for you its about the games. Now qoute me on this next thing i say. Sony is officially out of the console war this gen due to absence while Nintendo and Microsoft

I would have to say that the consoles with the cheapes price will pull way for good. The Wii and the 360 most likely.

FF13 should be out 2008..Versus I have no clue. But the PS3 at this rate will be market leader by 2009.

still not available on amazon and only available as ripoff bundles on target and walmart. bestbuy is down right now but i think they are probably the same. this is not the case with the other systems.

Yeah but it's 2007 and we hardly know of any games coming out in 2009. So talking about it at this point in time would have to almost entirely based on speculation and there is plenty to talk about right now... well unless your a cow :)

Seriously though, the "battle" has already begun and just because sony had a crap start doesnt mean cows can say that the real battle begins once they get good games. x360 has good games, wii has good games, so why does the "battle" start when sony gets good games?
