Who else has become more interested in the PS3 since the start of the year?

Well, Blu Ray won, the price came down, games are coming.

just kidding. Of course I'm more interested for the PS3; more games are being announced for the console which is a plus for me, plus people are (starting to) bash it less which had gotten a little annoying but thats okay.

Besides MGS4 i'm not really to excited. I sorta want the new Final Fantasy Game but to be honest the last final fantasy games I liked was 7 and 8, 9 and 10 was ok but ever since the square enix merger I liked the Final Fantasy series a lot less. I might just buy a PS3 for MGS4, beat it and take it all back >

After E3 2005 and all through 2006 & 1st Q 2007, I was extremely skeptical. Laughed at Cows for believing Killzone 2 trailer, Laughed at the Batarang, Laughed at Sony's propaganda. Laughed at PS3 launch...etc.

PS3 warmed up to me around Summer of 2007. Now, it's a totally different story. I REALLY want a PS3. I see it's potential. I see it's longevity in the next 7-8 years. I like the overall package. I see Bluray as a potential medium for epic games. I see the PS3 as a very reasonable and logical choice as a Bluray player. Plus, the promise of 3rd Party support, unlike another console maker, WILL and ALWAYS be there on Sony's console.

Im a Sony fan since the first day of Playstation.

The truth is that till now , i aint own a next gen console and ofcourse a PS3.

The reasons why i dont own a Wii or 360 are obvious. So is for PS3 i guess. Bad price , not games that i liked made it so "cold" machine. Since PS3's price drop and will drop even more , great games are on their way, Blu-ray won the format , its a very reliable hardware and of course BIG GAMES coming soon , yes i can easily say that im way more interested for a PS3 than a year ago. Way more.

Im thinking about MGS4 bundle or wait till Christmas for a price drop and or more games out. Till then , my PC keeps me busy with so many great games AND since X360 AAE-AAAE coming to my PC im cool. So waiting a little longer isnt that hard for me. I have great time with PC gaming, always had. But i need a console like PS3 to be able to play my best console games like

RE5 - FF13 -MGS4 - ICO2 - GT5 - TEKKEN6 and so many others no PC games.

PSN lacks in content, and the downloads of anything bigger than a theme or wallpaper seem to take forever. Not to mention the install of downloads after downloading it :?

yeah, I play PSN at my buds house, it sucks a lot compared to LIVE. The Blu Rays are awesome looking though

not rly to be honest, MGS4 holds no interest for me whatsoever and i can live with my DVDs a bit longerdarkspineslayer

It was bound to happen with BR winning, the price getting is sane levels and more games comming out.

I'm only waiting for MGS4 to pick up one.

No HDTV = No need for bluray

And I've never been interested in MGS.

I was VERY excited about the PS3 until I realized that after 1 full year MGS4 still remains to be the only PS3 game I really want... Everything else can be found on the 360 in some shape or form... OhSnapitz

I felt the same way. I owned a PS1 and PS2 and disliked XBOX for its junky clunky controller, crappy green interface. But when I had to decide 4 months ago PS3 or XBOX 360, Besides MGS4 I couldn't think of a real reason to own a PS3. I could always rent out a system and get MGS then take it back after I spend about 10 hours a day on it ^_^

I can't say I have. Maybe a little. The PS3's main feature still seems to be acting as a cheap (if you consider $400 cheap) Blu-ray player, a feature I have next to zero interest in. Also I do not have a PSP to enjoy all the cool connectivity features between the two devices.
